My cat is a year and a half old and latley he has been caught knawing on stuff, like the corner of the wall or the leg of the coffee table? Could he be getting more teeth being he is still young or is he in pain? He is eating and drinking like normal and is being normal otherwise? Hoping someone has some insight!

Could be a dental issue - have the vet check him out.

Otherwise, he could be bored or stressed. Have you given him some new toys lately? If not, try that. Jingly balls and fuzzy mice are always a big hit. Also, be sure you give him a tall scratching post. Cats mark their territory by scratching and biting. Give him an acceptable object to do so on, and voila - problem solved!

Assuming nothing has changed in his environment (no new pets, new schedule, new food, litter, etc), it's most likely not due to stress, but your vet can actually do a blood test to see if he's overly stressed.

it must be that they at the instant are not totally stepped forward and the mummy cats are ingesting them for meals. Thats what they do after start. yet in user-friendly terms top after start. in the event that they kittens are older then they're no longer incredibly ingesting them. Iv by no skill heard of a cat doing that. yet cats and canines devour their toddlers if there is something incorrect with them at start. Iv considered (no longer actually watched) yet I even have universal of many canines and cats to try this. So there must be something incorrect with the cats that have been having the kittens. inflicting the kittens to no longer be top while they're born. Then inflicting them to be eaten. wish i didnt confuse you wish i helped

He could be getting more teeth depending on how young he is. He could also be bored. There is a spray called Bitter Apple which I have found works really well at keeping my dog from chewing. It's basically rubbing alcohol, but you might try it.

He is probably trying to "brush" his teeth. I got my cat what looks like a brush bent in a half circle on a piece of carpet covered plywood at Walmart. It was made so they could rub on it to brush their own fur but she loves to chew on it. I think she was about a year old when she started to chew on things like that.

Sounds like he needs his teeth checked. They could be dirty. An unfortunate side effect of being an indoor kitty is dirty teeth, especially when they eat a lot of wet food.

He could have some bad teeth. My cat did that. We thought it was a phase, until he pulled his own tooth one night! I'd have him checked.
