I asked if the driver would take it to a place to have it estimated and the driver said that the car was estimated 2 times and din't want to take it to somewhere they didnt live.

It's up to them. Getting an estimate and having a car repaired can often mean missing work to do so, not to mention, it's a huge pain in the a--. They are rarely compensated for any of that. The whole process can be a huge imposition of a persons' time. The convenience of the that person should be considered.

Your question is kind of vague. I assume you mean you were involved in an accident, it was your fault and you told the other driver to take their vehicle to a specific shop for an estimate?

I don't think they have to, I don't know that I would, either. I'd question why you were trying to steer me there.

no it is the drivers disgression of where to take the car for an estimate. most of the time it is his own insurance company
