You need to be well versed in the Bible, and in tune with the Holy Spirit so you won't be duped by false teachers & doctrine. You need the spiritual gift of discernment, so you sense the spirit of darkness when the deceiver is trying to get you all mixed up. Keep your eyes on Jesus. People will let you down, but He never will.

You "live by faith" has a literal meaning, i.e. what happens to you is what you believe will happen because reality is responsive to consciousness. If you believe something to be true when it is NOT, your belief will manifest the event or experience anyway. Faith is the culprit in maintaining 'false logic.' And since our learned/embedded belief system is primarily below conscious awareness and embedded (chemistry of emotions), you can understand why adepts like Jesus place such an emphasis on the process of purification.

We have a choice to make. The choice is important because the proof ends at some point one way or another. Faith starts when you have nothing to prove anymore.
