Just finished reading "Wicked" and now I have sympthy for the wicked whitch of the west and I hate the Wizard of OZ.

After watching 3 Shreks, Prince Charming is a Bad guy and ugly ogre is good.

NBCs 10th Kingdom, Red Riddinghood was asking for it and she did get raped by the wolf and then she is in love with the wolf.

Jack and the Giants, Giants are nice, Jack and his mother bad.

Is this me or just everything evil is now presented in such a fashion that we must sympathize with it?

Just like the Libearls asking us to question ourselves "Why do they Hate US?" "They are someone's freedom Fighters"

Everything Evil is now suddenly good?

Just finished reading "Wicked" and now I have sympathy for the wicked witch of the west and I hate the Wizard of OZ.

After watching 3 Shrek’s, Prince Charming is a Bad guy and ugly ogre is good.

NBCs 10th Kingdom, Red Riding hood was asking for it and she did get raped by the wolf and then she is in love with the wolf.

Jack and the Giants, Giants are nice, Jack and his mother bad.

Is this me or just everything evil is now presented in such a fashion that we must sympathize with it?

The Left Elite wants no right or wrong. The agenda is that if you say something is right or wrong then you are judgmental and that is wrong.

From people supporting a cold blooded cop killer like Mumia Abdul Jamal and demonizing officer Charles Faulkners wife for wanting justice for her dead husband.

To ostracizing an Antioch college student who due to religious convictions refused to wear a pink triangle during celberate homosexuality week.

To demonizing former Miss America in 2003 because her cause was abstinence

Those who do right are wrong and those who do wrong are not only right but they are held up as heroes

The lefts agenda couldnt be more clear no right or wrong and this includes the American flag is an opressive symbol and needs to be taken down

How bout we stand up and say no Mumia Jamal is a cold blooded murder

The Antioch college student should be aplauded for standing up for his beliefs

Miss America of 2003 should be cheered for her strong stand on morality

This is our country not the country of moral relativism and the malignant narcisist

With Shriek the message could be inner beauty is more important than the outside. Biblical in origin. I haven't seen 10th Kingdom. As to Jack and the giants it kind of shows how fear and a lack of real faith pervert people and make them act wrong like us and Iraq. I haven't read wicked.
Empathy would go a long way toward reconciliation in our war with Iraq on both sides. It is such a shame our young service people are in harms way over there over a lie we were told. See what I mean Bush came on to us Christians like prince charming saying he loves JC and then he lies to be able to kill humans God himself made. We war not with flesh and blood.
Killing others is wrong no matter what. Self defense is not about what might happen and as a Christian sacrificing your life instead of protecting it from some heathen might allow the heathen to find the Lord. So all I'm saying is that Liberals aren't the only ones calling evil good. Check yourself first is my moto. I'm only saying this to you because you are a Christian as well. I hope that like me you a praying for the carnage to end and especially the carnage our own nation causes. I've also been praying for Bin Laden to meet the Lord, think about him and compare to Paul while still Saul for all we know that was because of prayers.

If don't think good is becoming evil, however the perception of good and evil is changing. What is evil? Here in the north western part of the world, (the U.S., Canada, Europe) in the past, any none Christian was automatically evil. For that matter, any none Caucasian was automatically evil. Then, in the 40's through the 80's any none democratic society was evil. If you lived in a communist nation you were evil... unless you were actively involved in some resistance movement. Now it's more difficult to decide who is evil and who is not.

I see your point however and to be honest there are ups and downs to the way things are going with 'evil' in the media.

First, we really shouldn’t judge by appearances. Sure, myths say ogres are villainous, but if they existed, would they be? The same could be said of giants. In the real world however, we hear about Muslims bombing this place and bombing that place. We hear about the Muslims that want to kill people or advocate the killing of people. We hear all the war stories about Muslim fanatics using innocent woman and children as shields. Does this mean that Muslims are vile people that should be avoided and scorned? Absolutely not.

I realize this is a little deep for a children's show, but I'm sure you get my point.

The con being that sometime the media goes too far and bad is made to look good. I have seen shows where criminals are glorified, where the 'heroes' are murdering thieves who lie, cheat and abuse the innocent.

As for the political ramifications. You are 100% correct there. No matter what we do now, some politician is against it for some reason. There are moral arguments for leaving the Middle East, staying in the Middle East, Decimating the Middle East, overthrowing the Middle east, walking out and ignoring the Middle East and on and on and on...

They do the same thing at home too. Just look at the massive amounts of money the governments takes from there people. Most of it goes to programs the majority of the people don’t approve of. Look at the U.S. as our social security program. The Feds have been 'embezzling' money from those accounts for years and I will be lucky if I ever see any of that money and yet I put money in every couple of weeks as is the law. If it were a private company dipping into their employees retirement funds, that company would be indicted. Not the US Government though.

The Government frowns on violence. They say that if someone calls you a name, steels something from you, makes a threat, hurts someone you care about, tries to hurt you, etc... you should call the authorities and let them deal with it. If the outcome isn’t to you satisfaction, then it's just too bad, that's all you can do.

Meanwhile, the federal government, Big Brother or Big Mother as it should be called, goes out and threatens countries because of disagreements. The world court says stop or that's not acceptable and the Feds say, "Tuff! We'll do what we think is right even if you don’t agree." We are attacked by terrorist and we resort to illegal activities. I'm not talking about invading countries that may or may not have had anything to do with the attacks. Nor am I talking about 'rough treatment' of terrorist suspects. I'm talking about our kidnapping of suspects from the authorities of a friendly, allied government. I'm talking about 'illegal' torture camps. (I'm am all for torturing these people if it's going to save lives. 100% for it! But we can't say it's illegal, agree that it's illegal, publicly persecute other countries for using these techniques and then do it ourselves anyway!)

Anyway, as a point of amusement, one of the born-again Christen fanatics that I know believes, and I do think he honestly believes this, that the media has made heroes of ogres, vampires, aliens, giants, demons, werewolves and other monsters so that in the near future when the Satan sends his minions to run the world, they will be accepts and will not be forced to hide. They will come with false promises and lead gods children astray and Hollywood is helping prepare us for this. (ROTFLMAO)

I just thought you might get a kick from that one.

I hope this helps.

Even though I have not seen any of the programs that you refer to, I get the gist of your concerns.

What I see is that profanity is more common place than manners.
A 12 year old can go to the nurse's station and get birth control while an 8 year old is denied tylenol.
Apparel is commonly worn supporting phrases that are offensive to me, yet if I wear a Christian slogan, I am forcing my religion upon others.
And the beat goes on........an on.........

I think it serves to add up to the end times as prophesied. Men running after their own lusts, turning from good, serving only themselves.

We can not stop this, all we can do is keep our faith, instill the faith in our children and grandchildren.

I fear for the grand ole USofA, her tide may soon be turning. We can either bow willingly or be broken into submission but there will be a day when ALL will bow.............

Yeah, the libs are trying to give rights to terrorists!

I just read an article a while back: "Democrats vote Amnesty to terrorists and criminals".

It has been taken off the news now (The article is in the link in my question):

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArY7gb3feERVDS3mkEh5zkrty6IX?qid=20070607085416AAOxr5A

(I wrote a question about it...normally news stays on longer than a month, but the libs probably complained that their feelings were hurt)

This is what the dems sound like: "we want everyone to be happy. If your a terrorist, come on in to America. While your here, do you want welfare? Sure, lets do that. Well, lets up the taxes so the illegal criminal immigrants can have money too...because it wouldn't be fair to just give welfare to the terrorists. Boy, I sure miss the days when Clinton was in office! We didn't have to worry about terrorists getting caught. Shame on Bush for trying to secure this nation."

Yeah, I notice that, too. Almost everything today is completely backwards. good is bad, bad is good. disease that kills is now promoted in the first grade school class;
We are moving swiftly toward the end of this
age; Its all pure prophecy, otherwise I would be really dumbfounded about it.
Just like Satan would twist truth just a bit
to make it sound like the truth, but still be a lie, its the same with most everything in our society today.
Its okay: those who twist bad to make it good or good to make it appear bad, will
get exactly what they have coming.
Not gonna be a nice day for many........

it is convussing trying to look at both sides of every story. we are no longer allowed to think some thing is simply bad we have to look at why it is that way. children that murder others are simply missunderstood I do not think it is helpfull in general the way the world is going.

I know it really worries me like having a president that is evil these days instead of a good man like we've had in the past.

Evil is only a perception. One's evil is anothers good. so everything is good and evil at the same time.

Because there is no true dichotomy of good and evil, only shades of gray. And because if you understand what makes something the way it is, you can change it, rather than just screaming "EVIIIL!" and running away. Or trying to put a stake in it and perpetuating the system.
