If God has a reason for everything, what is his reason for not intervening when a child burns to death in a fire? If it is a reason that we mortals are not capable of comprehending, isn’t it kind of cruel for him to leave us wondering? If he somehow explained why he was not intervening, wouldn’t it make it easier for us to cope with such things? Secondly, if you claim that his reason for not intervening in such a situation is that children burning is the fault of man, not God, why does God intervene to help in some situations that are man’s fault, but not others? For example, many children have been “miraculously” rescued from fires, and many Christians praise God and say that God is the reason that the children were saved. Does God have a reason for some children to burn and others to be saved?

God has a reason for everything.
We as humans are not capable of understanding much of it, so it has not yet been revealed to us.
God does state that all will be revealed, and I for one am looking forward to that day!!!

If we did not have trials then the littlest things would make us cry or kill ourselves. I'm sorry but the littlest things happen for a reason. The child may have been burned so that you would ask the question or become a christian. That child may have been burned so that it may help someone else that has become a burned victim. There is no understanding if someone is not, or has not, gone through the same things. God didn't understand so he sent his own son down to become human, to understand and go through the same things we did. He even died. Died for us. Now we have a God that we can relate to. Not some ultra force in the universe that has no understanding of what it's like to be human. Remember, a burn is something we live with on this earth. Our soul, is what we want to keep from the fire.

We cannot judge why God does things. All we can do is believe that He is all knowing and that He knows what is best. As a Christian, I trust God. He always has a reason. Another point is to remember that God has given the Devil control of the World..for now...so a lot of things that get blamed on God is really the Devil. But, when people (such as atheists) bring out points like yours, they always blame God. Maybe He is the ultimate ruler, but He has His reasons for everything that happens in this World. To help you understand better, try and accept this example. what If I was going to have an automobile accident that killed someone. Someone who was well liked, loved, and everyone thought highly of. But, suppose in the ultimate plan of things, this person I killed was one day going to kill the man who would find the cure for both cancer and aids?. Can you see how forces may be at work? Now, God doesn't work that way, but I find this is one of the best examples to explain why things happen for a reason, even though they may be horrible and tragic things. Yes I killed a well liked man, but, He was unknowingly going to do greater damage by killing a cure finder. Hope I haven't confused you too much LOL! Thanks for the question and have a great day!

Christian logic 102: God has a reason for everything. According to them, that's all the explaining that needs to be done.

God has a reason for everything. If a child(or anyone else for that matter) burns to death in a fire, it was his or her time to go. And then, vice-versa, if they didn't die it would be bcuz it wasn't there time to go. Just give God control. He knows what he is doing. You just have to have faith and trust in God.
God Bless!

I think of God's work as a game of Chess...If you asked me why I put my pawn in danger, then I would have to show you all the steps that were to come after that one which results in my having check mated the opponent. Would you be able to keep up with my explanation? probably, but would you be able to keep up with Gods?

Mortality is 100% in every generation. Everybody dies. God is not some superhero. His purposes are beyond our understanding. After all, he can make more, and he does.

We do not know all the things of God...
Do you?
If we knew all there was to know about God....then we would be equal to God. But regardless of good things or bad....we still praise Him. Because He alone is worthy of it.
Who are we but mere people to question the eternal councils of God?
