Eczema is also known to the medical practitioner as atopic dermatitis. There are many forms of eczema but the most common form is atopic eczema. It is also the most severe.
Treat eczema using anti dandruff shampoo - Using anti dandruff shampoo on the area with eczema will stop the itch. It doesn't make it go away but it does stop the itch which caused it to become red and sore.
Treat eczema by using emu oil - Apply just 1 drop of emu oil to the affected spot three times each day. You will notice a huge improvement within a week of doing this. Emu oil is extremely beneficial for many skin disorders and eczema is one of them.
Treat eczema by using tea tree oil - Apply pure tea tree oil to the affected area each day as needed. You will notice that the eczema is almost cleared up completely within a few days. Works the same as emu oil.
Treat Eczema using pine tar soap
Treat eczema by using pine tar soap - This remedy is good for infants who suffer from eczema. Go to your local health food store and ask for pine tar soap. Wash with this soap every day and you will find significant improvements after a week or two.
HOME REMEDIES FOR ECZEMA
* Oatmeal bath is useful for patients suffering from eczema. For the bath, pour 2 cups of colloidal oatmeal into a tub of lukewarm water
* Cotton clothing is the best for the skin and is much better than either wool or polyester, especially wool. Avoid synthetics or itchy fabrics, as well as tight- or ill-fitting clothes.
* Daily bathing is not necessary, as it tends to make alreadydry skin even drier. Instead, you can sponge bathe the parts of the body that really need it--the hands, face, neck, armpits and (for babies) the diaper area.
* A moisturizer or soap should be avoided as they can contain fragrances that will trigger a flare-up of eczema. Look for products that are fragrance-free.
* Avoid overdressing your child unnecessarily at night, because getting too hot can make the rash worse.
* Stress can trigger eczema or make it worse. Try to reduce the stress.
* Make a paste by adding 1 tsp camphor to 1-teaspoon sandalwood and apply on the affected eczema areas.
* Make a paste by rubbing a nutmeg against a smooth stone slab with a little water and. Apply to affected eczema area.
* Coconut oil may be applied to the areas with eczema.
* Add carrot juice and spinach juice and apply to the affected area.
* Drink plenty of water and take fruit juices like orange.
* Make a paste by adding 1 tbls turmeric powder to a tbls of bitter neem leaves. Apply to the affected areas.
* Deficiency of vitamin B6 may also cause eczema. So increase your intake of vitamin B6.
* Evening primrose oil can also help. It contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which is helpful in curing the eczema.
* Take watercress every day. It helps to cure the eczema, along with a daily drink of parsley, spinach, celery, and wheat grass.
* Add 1 Tbsp. Vinegar,1 Tbsp. Honey. Mix together with water and drink all at once.
* Neem has been used for treating all sorts of skin problems for centuries. It contains Nimbidol and Gedunin, which have excellent fungicidal properties. Crush some neem leaves and apply to the affected area. It will immediately give relief.
* Basil (tulsi) is extremely effective in treating skin disorders as it is a blood purifier and kills bacteria.
* Crush the garlic clove and mix it with half a cup of hot water in a pan. Soak a clean washcloth in the solution and then apply to the affected areas only.
* Add five drops of castor oil in half a cup of any fruit or vegetable juice, or plain water, and take on an empty stomach in the morning, is beneficial for any kind of skin disease.
* One or two bananas a day are useful for those who are allergic to certain foods and who consequently suffer from skin rashes, such as in eczema.
* Foods which should be excluded from the diet are tea, coffee, chocolate, cola drinks, alcohol, sugar and products made from it, refined cereals, meats, fish, chicken, tobacco, milk, cheese, butter, smoked and salted pickled foods, and foods containing any chemical additives, preservatives and flavorings.
* Try to do some prevention techniques such as relaxation, exercise, meditation, and mind control.

I can give you some anecdotal advice, but I would advise that you take your daughter to a clinic. (You can check with your area social services to see if there are any free or reduced fee clinics around).
My daughter has bouts of eczema, and we have had to use oatmeal baths on occasion. There are products for this at most drug stores. Also, any lotions you use should be perfume/scent free. A pharmacist may be able to reccomend some.
Avoid shellfish (even shrimp) eczema sufferers have been prone to this bringing on an attack.
Finally, scratching makes it worse. Over the counter anti-histamines can help with the itching and the rash. However, check with doctor before giving your child medications.

My daughter has Eczema also. It has been a long hard fight, and now I think she's finally growing out of it (Fingers Crossed). I found that things that worked, would only work for a little while and her skin kind of became immune to the med. Elidel worked for a while, Protopic worked for a while. I quit using all those when they came out and said they were found to cause Cancer. So I bought Aveeno oatmeal bath and let her soak in that. I bought Dove shampoo and bodywash for her and Dove lotion. I was her clothes in "free" soaps, bedding too. It's hard. My daughter is almost 5, and like yours, her itching isn't real bad. She has the rashes, now confined to her legs only. Now I'm dealing with her picking at her scabs. UGH! Her legs look rough, the poor thing. I suggest the Dove line. Nothing worked quite so well as that. And maybe get some Benadryl for the times that she is itching. (that was dr. recommended to me) And for the person that suggested the dermatologist, Elidel is a prescription med. You can't get that OTC by self diagnosing.

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Try Aveeno Oatmeal bath, avoid hot temperature in the bath (it should be lukewarm). Also moisturize after bathing, try using cream without stearyl alcohol, try lubriderm. You don't have to bath everyday as that dries the skin; and when you do bathe, pat the skin dry - don't rub it with the towel. Dress loose fitting cotton. Try keeping a food log. Certain food may cause more intense symptoms. Both air conditioning and heating can cause drying of the air in the house, so try increasing the humidity in the house. Try the internet for other tips and eczema support groups. Good luck.

My daughter also has eczema. I've taken her to the doctor many times and there's nothing you can do to actually cure it. You can keep her skin hydrated with lotions, limit time spent in the bath (the doctor told me to only bath my daughter every other day) and keep her cool. Don't over dress in winter months as that can make it worse. We also bought a humidifier for her bedroom. The doctor also prescribed 2 ointments for us, but you really need to use caution with them as they can make the skin thin and tear like paper. Basically use a good lotion on her and try to dress her in 100% cotton. We use Cetaphil lotion. Good luck!

When mine flairs up I have found vitamin E oil to help and I try to keep the area dry. Scratching it can help it to spread so keep her hands off if at all possible. Definitely seek treatment from a dermatologist, if you have insurance issues there are many clinics in cities designed to help treat those with out insurance especially children. California offers a healthy kids or something program where they can receive medical insurance for free or very low cost, I know my kids were on it at one time. Good luck

See a naturopath for natural ways to cleanse her system. Eczema is an indication of something internal and the skin is reacting. Go to the website for the AANP...Association of Naturopathic Doctors. They are trained and many are also conventional praticioners.

Eczema patients can avoid scratchy fibers for softer ones like bamboo, cotton, or silk, which are gentler on the skin. Opting to buy organic fibers can also be a wise, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative. Learn here https://tr.im/C0JLw

You can try a local low cost clinic near you, they usually charge on a sliding fee scale or possibly call the County Health near you and ask where you can take her.
Try taking a look at the website below for more information on how to treat it.
