You don't know which one is the truthful one and which one is the liar. The dragons know where you are going but wont tell you the right path unless you ask. You can ask can ask a total of 1 question that they both will answer. (and you can't ask for more questions!!!!!!) What will you ask?

Remember...they know where you are going so don't put
that in your question!!!!!!!!!!!!

good luck!!!!!

Ohhh, I know what question to ask. I go up to either dragon, doesn't matter which, and ask THIS QUESTION:

"Would that other dragon tell me that the path that YOU are standing in front of is the right path?"

If the dragon answers "yes", then I know by default that the path the second dragon guarding is the right path. If the dragon I'm talking to is the one telling the truth, then the second dragon's telling me that the first path is the right path is a lie, and that the second path is the right one. If the first dragon is the one that lies, then his answer that the scond dragon would tell me that the first path is the right one is a lie, and the second dragon would actually tell me that the SECOND path is the right one. The same rules apply, though in reverse, if the first dragon answers "no".

See what I mean, or did I lose you?

Ask them both which way the other dragon will say to go. The truthful one will tell you the wrong way, which is what the liar would say. The liar will tell you the wrong way, which is the opposite of what the truth is. They will both tell you the same path, and you go the other way.

You would say:
"What would the other dragon say is the correct path?"

Liar dragon: Will lie and say, "truth dragon will say the path I (the liar) am guarding is the correct one"

Truth dragon: Will tell the truth and say, "liar dragon will say the path that he is guarding is the correct one"

So both will point to the same path.

ANSWER: Take the other path that both dragons point to!

Voila!

Ok you would ask one dragon who is the liar? They both should point to the liar since one will only tell the truth and one only lies....wait I'm confusing myself. The answer is:

Shake your head and stop hallucinating, dragons don't exist....don't eat the mushrooms.
