For a 14 year old you are overweight, don't get discouraged! You want to start out by eating less and heating healthier. you should get your parents involved so that they can help you loose the weight. Its easier to diet as a family rather than as an individual.

Start walking regularly or doing any kind of cardio exercise. It is recommended that you do about 20min of cardio a day.
Try picking up a sport and get into it to make it fun.

You should get some tips on your doctor concerning diet, but besides that he or she will probably tell you to get more active.

Good Luck : )

Yes you are. You should see a doctor if you can. Another great idea would be to change your diet, excersise at least an hour a day, and begin thinking about yourself differently. The more confidence you build by having a better body, the more it will motivate you to continue on with your diet and lose the weight. Imagine your self at a healthy 140 lbs... it's not that far away! A good way to start is to learn about nutrition. Start using a calorie counter at fitday.com, or fitwatch.com. I lost over 100 lbs over the course of 2 years, it was not that hard. Its all about consistency. Make your high school years the best by living a more healthy lifestyle! You can get down to a healthy weight in a year or less, good luck.

Yes, that is kinda overweight. But dont get mad or put your self down becuz that will result in depression which causes you to eat more. I think you should excerise more. Since its summer there is a lot of things you can do outside. Like riding your bike, taking walks, swimming, walking on the beach, playing sports, dancing, there are so many! You can also do these things with your friends. As for eating I know its hard to stop eating as much as you normally would. So you should probably replace unhealthy snacks with low calorie low fat things. Like the 100 or 90 calorie pack thingys. Fruit and vegetable taste really good! I drink a lot of water which is totally good for you and has no calories or anything! They also have these packets that u mix into your drink that have no calories at all! They are sooo good! O-and try slowing down when you eat. Bc is you eat it all so fast its not getting time to digest and its like a 'traffic jam' if you know what i mean. so just slow down i guess. Hope i helped! =D

I would guess you are overweight because you eat so much.

Also you may have a problem with your thyroid.

These are two different issues. People tend to eat a lot as a way to deal with stress and anxiety. This is emotional. So try to figure out what are you having anxiety about. And then see if there is anything you and your family and friends can do to help you with these stresses. And then try replacing the behavior, of eating when you do become stressed. Try running or even singing a song out loud, to release energy, A replacement behavior if you will.
You may need a therapist to help you figure out these things.

As for thyroid, just by getting a blood test a nurse can tell you if it is out of balance. And after assessing that they may give you some medication or have other suggestions for you to go from there!

Good luck to you!

The best think to do is eat healthy. I know it's really hard to do. (i'm a little over weight) but it really pays off. Some easy exercises is that you can do is maybe walk in the park with some friends and walk to places instead of drive(save the planet) or just dancing to music. My fav. is swimming laps you get a lot of exercise and don't really notice it (you can't sweat in water!!)

Good luck hope this helps.

how overweight you are depends on how tall you are. you probably do need to lose weight. eat a well balanced diet with proper portions, drink plenty of water, and exercise every day. these sites will help you decide how much of what to eat and do. good luck!

Yes you are. Go on a diet. The South Beach Diet is good. It's the way a person should eat anyway, even if they're not on a diet. It will keep you healthy.

yes you are... but the good thing is, you are still young. try hitting the gym with a friend or a family member (to keep you company and keep you going) and workout/cardio (i recommend cardio) at least 3-4 times a week. also cut down on fatty and oil foods and replace them with fresh veggies and fruits!! but set goals for yourself, and give yourself a little reward each time you make one. :) (and yes seeing a doctor is also a good idea.) good luck!

ps. make sure your workout is fun..it helps.

extra tips
- drink LOTS of water.
- everytime you are eating, put your fork down between bites, this way you arent eating so quickly and your stomach will get full faster
-go out have fun, play sports, games that involve running/ moving your body

go to the doctors and they recommend things. i kno sum 1 who goes to the doctors and they watch his weight and put him on a diet to make sure he stays healthy and is eating right. that would be the best thing to do because they kno the most about your body type and what foods and exercise are good for you. but if you want to do it on your own drink lots of water, cut out unessisary sweets and snacks like candy, cupcake, cookies, chips, and things like that. eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies. try to stay away from fried foods like fried chicken, and french fries.
