I have 5 dogs and 2 cats, so I suppose that makes me a dog person.
I love both but for different reasons, I love my dogs because they are dependent on me, they love me unconditionally, they don't judge and they don't argue back. I have made some great human friends through owning the dogs that I have. However I love my cats, because they are so independent, they really don't care whether I'm home or not providing that someone feeds them!

I prefer cats, especially if they are dog-like. My cat acts like a dog in many ways.

I like them both. A dog is always pleased to see you and is open in it's dealings with you and also feels a sense of shame when it has been naughty.
A cat is never wholly tame, treats everyone with equal contempt associates with humans only on it's own terms because it does not need them., but it does miss Ir's family when they are away, they will never know but an observant neighbour will notice

Dogs. Although I once had a cat, Venus, that was fantastic. If I could get a cat like her again I would chose her over any dog!

Dogs, definitely dogs. Worst thing about cats is that they wander where they like, including my garden and I hate the little critters for that, especially when they spray outside the front door.
