Apart from the top two answers, the rest are correct.
In fact, I answered your previous question regarding your 'brothers' bike size!
When then crank is forward and horizontal to the ground your (sorry your brothers. . ahem) knee should be just forward of the pedal spindle.
When your (sorry your brothers!) sat on the saddle, with heel on the pedal( at the bottom of the stroke) then, the knee should be slightly bent.
Follow the above and if you can see the front axle, in normal riding position then the bike is too big/small - seeing as your brother has already bought the bike this can be corrected to some extent by buying a shorter/ longer stem, so that in normal riding position, the handle bars obscure vision to the axle on the front wheel.

If you are asking if a 56cm (large) bike will fit your brother who is 5'7", the answer is no. He is going to be better served with a medium or even a small. Go to a good shop and get fit. Good fit is essential.

Please tell us that english is your second language, or that you're under the age of 4.
A Giant 'large' is a tad on the 'large' side for a 5'7" rider. He would do better with a medium, but if he has long arms and a long torso, the large could be made to fit. Since it's compact geometry, a 5'7" rider with short legs can get away with it. I'm 5'9" and rode a large TCR for a couple of years. It fit me perfectly.

You have asked this question before (albeit in a modified form)
And it was answered correctly 54cm.
If your brothers bike is 56mm then its suitable for a small kitten!!
If you mean 56cm! If so, then it is too large!

No idea, try converting to Imperial measure. French measure means nothing.
