First, driving without a license can cause you some serious problems within itself.
However, to answer this question - the driver or his insurance company will more than likely take you to court. Since you're not working they can't have your wages garnished and you can be forced to report new employment at which time they'll file that paperwork. If you're under age (a minor), they can go after your parents to pay the bill.

Dont know about your state, but in my state, in addition to being sued by the person's insurance company, the state would also arrest you for driving without insurance, and they would also take away your license. You knew the risks when you drove without insurance, now Im afraid you will have to pay the price, and probably will be paying for a good while- just be glad that nobody got hurt.

What were you thinking by driving without insurance. Maybe you can reason with the person and FIND a way to PAY them. Get a job and make payments on the damage. Show them you are a RESPONSIBLE person!

Consider yourself fortunate you are not already in jail.
You do have money. The car, you were driving illegally without insurance, has some value. It can be confiscated and sold to raise the money to pay the other driver.

call the police ,do not leave you could be charged with leaving the scene of an accident a felony. get the other drivers info. first of all you should never be driving without car insurance, you are breaking the law and taking a chance of being arrested right on the spot and also losing your driving priviledge. tell the police what happened and pray they have mercy on you.

My car was hit by someone with no insurance. My insurance company suggested I put a claim in for uninsured motorists and they settled with the girl and allowed her to pay in installments. Hopefully the person you hit will be nice...otherwise, you probably will be sued for damages. Good Luck!

They can sue you for the damages. If this happens the court may give a judgement in the other party's favor. You will be required to pay the judgement and you are subject to liens being placed on your property and wage garnishments if/when you start back to work.

If it was up to me, you'd go to jail. Driving without insurance is illegal. The other driver's insurance company will fix his car, then his insurance company will come after you and sue you for the costs.

Was the car you were driving in your name or someone elses? If not yours, the owner can be sued for allowing an uninsured person to operate the vehicle. If your car, you will probably be sued for damages, lose your license and (in my State) go to jail.
