Yes, they should be open. Justice should be seen to be done, and these politicised courts certainly can't be trusted.

I am given to understand that, in order to meet Government adoption targets, (do they have to have targets for everything?) they are removing children from apparently capable parents for the flimsiest of reasons, so that they can put them up for adoption.

These courts provide a very useful vehicle for the implementation of Government inspired social engineering policies. Mainly left wing, anti traditional family, and it would appear, anti-male. Adoption practices are skewd to meet their social engineering agenda. Most of us have read many examples of this in the newspapers.

I think this is intolerable - it brands some parents unjustifiably as not being fit to bring up their children. When these courts have made mistakes and we get to know about it there is never an apology. All of these cases should be in the public domain. If anything they are only ever a seven day wonder and the children should not suffer for having their names exposed. I remember back in the late 60's/early 70's when there was what ammounted to a witch hunt by social services on an island in Scotland. The children were dragged forcibly from their parents and were then sexually examined by a couple of doctors from the north east region who later turned out to have peculiar tendencies! And were subsequently banned from dealing with children or any sexual abuse. There was no appropriate apology for those people and their community. This was not one but around ten families! God only knows how they have ever put their lives back together. As for this latest family who had their children taken from them and who have since had another child and have fought to keep him so much so that the original case against them has been destroyed. They then are told that their two eldest children have now been adopted and that they cannot have them back! This is diabolical - go to the european courts of human rights for yours and your childrens rights have been viciously abused and then sue you local council and all the officers individually who blackened your names and stole your children and their childhood.
