Try Stuyvesant Cove on Manhattan's East Side. It's on the other side of the FDR on 20th Street across the way from Stuyvesant Town. I hear you catch a lot of bluefish there as well as a striped bass now and then. Also you could go for porgies, sea bass, and kingfish. In Brooklyn, Carnasie Pier, Exit 13 on the Belt Parkway. In the Bronx, City Island.

you are speaking of Manhattan or the whole NYC / 5 Boros?

Manhattan, go fish near 96th street off the FDR, there is a nice pedestrian walkway and recreational area. not sure if you want to eat the fish that you catch though.

in the 5 boros, go over to the area under the Verranzano Bridge (not sure that's how it is spelled, but you know the bridge from Brooklyn to Staten Island). there are some good spots along that area.

let us know if you find Hoffa.
