Oh yes Cherries are way expensive especially at christmas when they are a whopping £9.00 per kilo wooohoo at the min though they are £1.20 for 300g which is too tasty too miss and i am eating them most days lol.

Blueberries are expensive too which is ludacris considering how much of a healthy snack they are and all the goodness they contain....£1.99 for 150 g is terrible.

Wow...I guess I'm totally spoiled. I live right near the border of Michigan (a cherry state) and our cherries are not that expensive.

Asian pears are the most expensive fruit at the market right now. Around Christmas time, Bosc (did I spell that right?) pears are quite pricey.

I cannot speak for all of America, but that's what's going on in NW Ohio.

Most expensive in our stores are mangoes, papayas and clementines. Cheapest? Bananas and grapes. Hardest to find and shortest season? Apricots--they don't travel well once they begin to ripen, and they don't ripen well if picked too green. Their 'window' seems only about 10 days if that. Fruits that have disappeared? Concord "slip-skin" grapes!

I love cherries and they are only available for a few weeks but the price is outrageous. I still cave and buy them

Granny Smith apples and red pears are the most expensive as far as I know. They are also my favorite.
