I've never been, but I'm thinking of going to one with a friend because he won't shut up about it until I do, lol. What should I expect? What should I wear???

It depends on where you go, and what night you go, and who happens to be there. A swing club is like anyplace else, they all vary and each one varies from night to night.
That being said, you should not generally expect to see an orgy. Despite the sexually liberated nature of people who go to those things - the mood is often much more uptight than you might expect. Some places have private rooms where alot of the action goes on. Some have open areas where you can observe sex going on. However, many people who are open to having sex with others in a sex club - are still embarassed about being watched - wierd, I know.
You should dress sexy - perhaps bring a change of sexy lingerie to change into. Some places may be more clothed - others are closer to nude. Men generally are not as undressed as the women.
I like to describe the mood at many swing clubs as similar to the mood at a Junior High School dance - alot of standing around shyly - wondering who's going to talk to them and wondering who wants to "dance" with them.
If you go to a club that allows single men - it might be different from a place where only couples go. If they let in too many single men - or don't screen the single men - they can be a little overwhelming. They are more likely to make you feel uncomfortable - but again, that is not necessarily so. It's at these clubs where more of the action goes on in private rooms - they try to keep crowds from forming around the bed to have a more intimate experience with a small group.
At a couples club - expect to see a bunch of couples sitting around the lounge area on bar stools, a dance area having drinks, or on a couch in a living room type area, chatting, checking each other out, and socializing - not unlike how people socialize at a dinner party or happy hour.
This is your opportunity to chat with others, see what they think about the whole thing - get the benefit of their experiences and see how the whole scene appeals to you. You will not generally be pressured to do anything you don't want to do. You can flirt, be flirted with, play pool or just chill.
Later, when people start to go to the play rooms - you can check it out, play with your partner alone - without touching anyone else - or do any combination of play, touching, heavy petting or more with other couples or people you meet.
Have fun.
Even if it's not for you, you will at least have your curiosity satisfied.

I was a member of a swingers club in New York before the AIDS crisis. I think is not a good idea to get into those places since safe sex is a risky one.The club and the people and the stuff inside is awesome,but if you catch the virus for get it about it.

Go!! So at least your curiosity will be subsided. It's just people with a open outlook on nudity and sexual behavior. If you just sit back and observe, and soak it in. You will not be bothered or raped like the idiot above me just said...sheeeeez. It's a slice of life that you can learn and grow from. If you like it fine...if not...fine. Just go and see how the other half lives and leave your inhibitions at the door. You will learn more about it that way. If anything....you will have something else in life you have learned from. The day you quit learning is the day you die...Enjoy!...it's kind of a trip at first...LOL

wear something nice but sleezy, well sexy other wise you will feel as thoughyou came under dressed. Be nice and just meet people see where it goes - Eepect nothing less then sex! -good, clean, fun -always prcatice safe sex and if they say they don't want to wear a rain coat then tell them someone else will -do not give in!

don't go. If you're friend wants to go, let her go. Don't go. It's to dangerous. That sounds stupid, but the rate of people who get raped is not something you want to be a number of. A.K.A. there's a good chance something bad will happen to you there.
