Hi,
Just wondering how to pronounce this word. I believe the g is silent, but not sure exactly how to say it anyway.
Anyone with knowledge of Italian would be much appreciated to answer this.
Thank you!

It's difficult to do this without the IPA, but I'll try. I don't speak Italian but I know a little bit about pronunciation and if you follow these instructions you should sound quite good.
The first sound is a palatal nasal. It's the same sound that English speakers say in words like "onion" or "canyon". You touch the middle of your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
The second sound is an "o" sound. Make sure that you use a pure "o", not a dipthongized one like many Americans do.
The third sound is a "k" sound, as in the first sound of "cake".
The fourth sound is an "i" sound like in the word "bumblebee" or "tree". This sound is again often dipthongized by Americans, so use a pure, short version.
I hope it makes sense!
P.S. Gnocchi are delicious!

gnocchi is pronounced like "noh-key."
It is in plural form, so just one of them would be gnocco. It means lump. =]

The "n" sound should be pronounce softly.
The "kk" is a doubled "k" sound.

Naw-key. The g is silent, and the cc followed by the h makes a soft "k" sound (rather than the traditional "ch" sound)
