"Ewwwww!!"
thats the funniest answer i've seen in a long time. I burst out laughing.

Not, skeletons dont shrivel up. You've heard of dinosaur bones? Bones tend to last a while.

Do you mean when the animal is buried after death?

Bones do not 'shrivel up' as such. Depending on the conditions of the soil they're buried in, bones may corrode away, break and become dust eventually, but this takes a very long time, like hundreds of years.

Remember in the right conditions, bones can be fossilised and still exist thousands of years later.
