In the menu FILE - PAGE SETUP

Open up a new document in Word.
Go to File > Page Setup
In the Orientation, choose "Landscape"
Click Apply and OK
Create your document

There will be several tabs near the top.
Click the first tab File
In that list there's a selection for Page Setup
A box will appear
In the current screen you should be able to change the Page Format from Portrait to Landscape
Depending on your version of MS Word it could be located in the Layout tab of that same box.

Go to file. Then page setup. Under orientation you shoulld see landscape and portrait. the default is portrait so change it and click okay. You can always use help when you need help quickly.
