I have the SLT its the one to get. Just a nicer package. All the electric things are nice if you are using it as a work truck. And if your child likes to play with the window you can lock them so they cant haha. And the stereo options behind the steering wheel totally rock. No more leaning over to change stations and volume. You may think I dont need all those gadgets and perhaps you dont but it sure does make a long day easier at the end. It also has an extra outlet and compartment armrest for your computer underneath another storage area Go with the SLT higher resale value when you sell it or trade it in. Peace out...............

RE:
Whats the difference in an SLT and an ST?
I am buying a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500, and I was wondering what the difference was in the body style ST and SLT.

an L ... LOL :-)
yep, the ST is just a standard basic truck and any options are add ons.
SLT is loaded out with electric options, like windows, locks, cruise, tilt, cruise and carpet and an upgraded seat... then there are other add ons to go there too.
then there is the Larime (spelling?) that has all the bells and whistles like leather seating, sliding rear window, hood brow, dual climate control, dual power seats ... then there are additional add on to go there too...

all these are wrong answers. the SLT in Dodge lines stands for standard line truck. I have an ST, it is loaded, dual power seats, embroidered leather, heated seats and mirrors tilt wheel, full power everything.

ST is a "work truck", vinyl floor, manual windows, locks, seats, mirrors, am/fm radio, and a really ugly grille.
SLT contains all the most popular options such as power window, locks, mirrors, CD player, carpet, tilt, cruise, chrome goodies, blah blah blah

They are all different trim levels. An st would be your base model, while a limited would most likely fully loaded. So its pretty much what options are in the vehicle. The enigine size should remain the same.
