using the illiad to prove the existance of Zues. A belief that the illiad proves Zues is the true god is the same thing. Proof does not exist so why do people on both sides attempt to prove anything to the other side? Is it not just pride talking? Does God really need you to prove he exists?

God is God. He doesn't need us to prove anything. Everyone knows deep deep down that there is a God. God's spirit is everywhere. We are all God's children whether we like it or not. God works in all of our lives - it's just that some of us recognize and appreciate it and others don't and take the credit for it. Pride isn't a Christian virtue so I don't think many of us are trying to prove God because of pride. We answer questions about God but don't slam Him in your face. On the other hand, many people demand that others think their way (my way or the high way) and will say and/or do anything to accomplish their goal of being right. That is pride.

Yea, except for the fact that they teach the Illiad as mythology in college English courses. I know; I already took the course. Dry reading. Take courses in Hermeneutics and Legal/Historical Apologetics. Then you'll understand why your entire question renders itself useless for purposes of your current assumption.

For God to prove that He is real means that you simply have to exercise faith and take another breath of the air that He Himself provides.
The air you breathe is unseen but you go right ahead and inhale all you want of it don't you...
God is Real and Yes His word documents it all for us. The problem is NOT in His existence.. but in your believing He does.
Just because you have not been exposed to God does not mean He is not real. I am sure you have not been exposed to all the great wonders of this World and Universe... YET it does not change the facts that they are real and bigger than you does it?
The bottom Line is this... God is the one true Reality in this universe but the sad part is .. He has not been revealed to you.
You rob yourself... and no one but you can change that.

The BIBLE is not here to prove God exists..It's here to guide us and advise us.. it may have been written many moons ago but it's alive today because in it you find the answers to today's problems. God is as real as the sun that shines above us everyday. There is God and there is satan. Choose God.

No. true knowledge come when you can build it, take it apart. put it back together and tell how far into the sky it will go at what time on a Tuesday morning.
Real knowledge is about real things with real results.
Skydaddy knowledge is just about fantasy.
True knowledge is being able to figure out how to get answers to questions that actually matter.

NO, we dont have to proove that God exists. HE says He does and either you believe it or you dont. IT is all in the Bible, and there are so many others truths besides this, Bible prophecies being fullfilled , archeological digs that find things spoken of in the Bible, and miracle tht still happen today. Faith is the belief in somethning not yet seen, but once you do, God will show you so much.
Chrsitians dont have pride, All we have is in JEsus, and without Him we are nothing.
We dont need the words self esstem towards us, we only need what God says about us and He esteems His ppl pretty highly.
BUt believe in or against is a choice. that you are sure about.

people dont need the bible to prove the glory of God and His love. wake up and see that His love is all around us. the bible is only His way of spreading His word.
