In Heaven, will humans remain essentially humans or will we grow wings and become angels of God?

Wow, Some of those answers are disturbing. When we die we become our true beings, Our spirit. And yes if it really matters we are above even the angels in God's eyes.

No. Angels and human beings are entirely different creatures (Heb. 2:14). Jesus said after our resurrections we will be like angels in that we will not be married (Matt. 22:30). But this was a specific limited comparison. It wasn't an indication we'll become angels, or a statement that we will in general be angel-like. Angels will always be angels and people will always be people. Humans are eternally human. Death involves relocation to a different place and transformation into better humans (Rom. 8:23), not into nonhumans.

No. When I was a kid I believed that but Angels are just messengers from god. The Halo and wings are purely just imagery and angels in the bible never appeared like that. They came looking exactly like any other human. The wings were probably added because that is how you would imagine that they would travel. The halo is just a depiction of their holiness. If you look at any Christian art the Saints and everybody else usually has a bright ring around their head.

Some human beings who eventually graduate to the heavens, become spiritguides; while angels are beings who are born just for guiding us out here. They are individually assigned with each soul at birth, and are called guardian angels.

There are many other kinds of angels, messenger angels, healing angels, and simply parking angels....who will find you, your parking spot everyday, if you work with them!

no humans do not get wings. God created angels a little bit above man it is written in the bible. when you go to heaven you become a soul meaning you without flesh and bones. because from dirt you came and to dirt you go.

1 Corinthians 15:35-50 But someone will say, "How are the dead raised?" and, "With what kind of body do they come?" (36) You foolish one, that which you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies. (37) That which you sow, you don't sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind. (38) But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own. (39) All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds. (40) There are also celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial. (41) There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. (42) So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption. (43) It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. (44) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is also a spiritual body. (45) So also it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. (46) However that which is spiritual isn't first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual. (47) The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven. (48) As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. (49) As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let's also bear the image of the heavenly. (50) Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can't inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

Hope that helps. Looks like we won't be angels, but we will have a spirit body instead of flesh and bones.

We will remain human. This is evident from what Jesus said about the rich man and Lazarus. And we will be like the angels, in that we won't get married.

Some humans are angels right here on earth..those who do good deeds,,the helpful ones,,and they don't need wings to be angels, nor do they need to be in "heaven"...

The bible says you will be given a new body and a new name. But It does not imply that you will be an angel. so I would say no to both. neither human or angels but something else.
