According the "Bible" the scriptures says: (27). But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; (28). and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, (29) that NO FLESH should glory in His presence. (I Corinthians 1:27-29)
I'm not a religious person but an individual who had repented of my sins and accepted Jesus Christ into my HEART as my Lord and Saviour - if that's silly then I would rather be a "Fool" for Christ than to think otherwise. Because some believe that "God" is place in the category of imaginery does not make the world a better place - though one would try to change their minds. The changing of a person's heart toward Christ will set them free from false beliefs. How? Romans 10:9-13
9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hat raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11) For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto al that call upon him.
13) FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVE.

And are there other options? Why would faith or religion pre-suppose any lack of intelligence or rational thought? To many people who have done examination on these questions, those are not your options. Believe or not, that is not the issue. What is at issue may be your own spirit...for you know within.

Your question is unfounded. For I am both an intelligent, rational person and religious. I am a Gnostic, and we believe in all religions to some degree. We believe that mixed in all religions, is the real TRUTH, of the knowledge of GOD.
Do you remember the story of Babylon. This was when there was no religion becuase we where in contact and in the grace of GOD. HE actually intereacted with us, thus there was no religion, because we knew the TRUTH. But then, being to big for are britches, shot an arrow into the sky in rebellion of GOD. Then he split us apart by not allowing us to talk to each other. When we tried, it was nothing but BABEL. Get it. Then the small groups, that could understand each other, went of by themselves, then developed different REMEMBERANCES (religions), of what they could remember of being in the grace and contact with GOD.
Therefore, if we peity little creatures, could set aside are peity little differences, sat down together as one. And finally tried to find the actual TRUTH, we could once again be in the good grace, and have contact with GOD.
The point here is: If little peices of TRUTH, in EVERY religion (REMEMBERANCES), were filtered out and put together. No religions would exist. For we would have the TRUTH, thus be back in the grace and contact with GOD.
But the question is, can we as a people, put are piety pride aside and relize, that not one of our false religions is right! Finally sat down together, and for the first time in along time, get along and get it right?

Yes, I'm an irrational religious person like ... say, Abraham Lincoln? Thomas Edison? Thomas Jefferson? Martin Luther? Martin Luther King? Jesus?
There are soooooooo many unintelligent, irrational religious people throughout history, most of them too busy doing great things in the name of God to be bothered by your insults, I'm just not sure which one that we should make fun of first?

I am an intelligent, rational human being who is also a religious person. I do not require you to agree with my religious convictions, nor do I claim that my religious convictions are the only valid expression of human spirituality.
However, if you're going to make a claim that God is imaginary, I *do* require you to present objective evidence in support of your claim. Please also explain your methodology and the rationale behind the experiments you have done in support of your hypothesis. You should also be able to demonstrate the reproducibility of your experiments, preferably by an independent reseacher or researchers.

You know, not all religious people are dumb. Why do people have to say crap like this? Only someone who thinks they're intelligent would even bother to stoop this low.
An actual intelligent person wouldn't bother. They have better things to do.

I would guess that you are neither; I rationalize this based on how you present yourself on this forum. As for myself, I am a Christian who is intelligent enough to know that you need prayers.....really bad!
Matthew 5:10 -- Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
