I'll assume you are asking why christians and muslims would fight with each other when they both consider those same two people to be religiously important...

The issue of whether Jesus was a prophet or god in human form tends to be a bit of an important question as far as christianity is concerned. Sadly, its a question that people have sometimes felt was important enough to kill over.

Also, the Quran can be a bit ambiguous on how exactly christians and jews should be treated. It seems to say one thing in some surahs, and other things in other surahs. When you toss in the Haditha, then could come up with any sort of ideas that you might like.

Anyhow, muslims fight with muslims even when they have exactly the same beliefs. The same is true of christians. So, having some common points in their respective theologies isn't apparently likely to prevent wars.

What Christians ought to be doing is showing Muslims that regarding Jesus as a prophet isn't enough. Jesus provided the covering for sins. To deny that Jesus provided the covering for sins is to deny yourself that covering. According to Jesus that is.

What Muslims don't understand or won't accept is that Jesus Christ was the proof of God's fulfillment to the prophecies of the Old Testament. He promised the deliverer long ago, and had Jesus provide propitiation for the sins of man. He offered Himself to bring this about.

I would not want a Muslim to know those differences in the belief system.

We are NOT all God's children. God separates things. He draws lines of distinction throughout many things. While it is true that we are all sons of Adam, we are not all children of God. God wants only those who trust Him. And the only way to do that is to respond to His calling and trust Him for what He says. Through Christ whom God had sent, we gain peace with Him, typified by the ancient observation of Passover, where the blood of the lamb spilled would cover those in the household so that the Angel of Death passed over that house, and did not kill the firstborn. That is what we face now; the Lamb in this case is Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, and whoever believes in Him will be saved from God's wrath.

If people could only reason we would not have so many wars, Followers of religion are truthfully following everything that is written, muslims think all that is written in Islam is happening hence it is true, they dont realized that they are following every thing that is written hence everything is happening, they are making it happen, if only they use their brains perhaps they would realized this fact.
When you "believe" this is my way and the only way! The outcome will be exactly what we are all witnessing these days. When the mind is in turmoil we all choose and pick , thoughts, actions and words that depict our state of mind, in other words we see what we want to see, and hear what we want to hear, hence when the mind is fixed from childhood to see things in a particualar way anything out of its domain is not tolerated. This is the mind of the religions person, because they are shaken by challenges, and theydont want to see themselves as following the wrong things. Its always I am right and you are wrong. Humanity has a lot of growing to do.

All of the three major religions (Christianity, Judaism and Muslim) worship the same God. We don't have wars about which God is better, we have wars over which prophet was better. Christianity has Jesus and Muslims have Muhammad, and the Jews think they are too good for a prophet, so that is what the fighting is for. God just watches his TIVO to see the action.

There is a huge gulf between the claims that religions make about themselves and the attitudes they actually foster. Christianity and Islam call themselves peaceful and loving so often that people begin to repeat the lie reflexively. In actuality, they have started more wars than any other single motive.

muslims believe god doesn't have children. Jesus is the prophet of god as is moses, muhammad, etc. Jesus is a man he cannot be god. God has to be so perfect he doesn't need anything. If he created the oceans, mountains, land, and everything, he shouldn't have to live off of food or water. He won't need anything. that's why muslims don't believe jesus is god or jesus is god's son.

Its probably because, Christians claim Jesus was the Messiah, and both groups claim Mohamed was a false prophet.

The thing is, Moses was a profet, but Jesus is God allmighty who came to earth. That's one thing Islam is wrong about. There are bad children and good children. The bad children are selfish and do whatever they want. The good children fear God and try to please God by being good to their fellow humans, and worshiping God above all.

We as people don't want to admit we have a sin nature but we don't have to actually say it, just look around and see how we treat each other daily. Our social interacting don't seem to be getting better but getting worse, road rage, rape, murder, racial & religous division.

Pride has a lot to do with our behavior, everybody likes a winner so we fight until we win but that feeling doesn't last very long so we go out to win again.

Because the hate filled book, Quran, also went on to whine about how misguided the jews were. So they hate the jews, but the jews have a lot of influence in the US. Thus, we help protect them. Also, most religions don't get along because of the intolerance in the religion itself. Just say no to religion.
