...And died in the centuries where God's word was law?
Jews as well and Blacks were both called "scum of the earth".
While the White man was at the other end of the spectrum...
So are we allowed to enslave God if he was created in his image which is basically black, white, brown etc skin....?
How come god permitted slavery?
This proves god ALLOWED racsim and slavery...
= all religions are wrong....

Danny N: to the ultimate God-boy slavery did peak in the 15th century where ships were getting thrice as many slaves. In th 1800s slavery started to deteriorate and abolishionists stopped the [white man] from enslaving so READ UP on your HISTORY a-hole.

For centuries slavery flourished under christianity - ministers even taught the mark of cain was black skin.
Except for murder, slavery has got to be one of the most immoral things a person can do. Yet slavery is rampant throughout the Bible in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves.
Many Jews and Christians will try to ignore the moral problems of slavery by saying that these slaves were actually servants or indentured servants. Many translations of the Bible use the word "servant", "bondservant", or "manservant" instead of "slave" to make the Bible seem less immoral than it really is. While many slaves may have worked as household servants, that doesn't mean that they were not slaves who were bought, sold, and treated worse than livestock.
The following passage shows that slaves are clearly property to be bought and sold like livestock.
However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)
The following passage describes how the Hebrew slaves are to be treated.
If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever. (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)
Notice how they can get a male Hebrew slave to become a permanent slave by keeping his wife and children hostage until he says he wants to become a permanent slave. What kind of family values are these?
The following passage describes the sickening practice of sex slavery. How can anyone think it is moral to sell your own daughter as a sex slave?
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
So these are the Bible family values! A man can buy as many sex slaves as he wants as long as he feeds them, clothes them, and screws them!
What does the Bible say about beating slaves? It says you can beat both male and female slaves with a rod so hard that as long as they don't die right away you are cleared of any wrong doing.
When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)
You would think that Jesus and the New Testament would have a different view of slavery, but slavery is still approved of in the New Testament, as the following passages show.
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)
Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them. (1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT)
In the following parable, Jesus clearly approves of beating slaves even if they didn't know they were doing anything wrong.
The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given." (Luke 12:47-48 NLT)

so the first part about god word being law during biblical times there were no white people in the bible Europeans didn't come from Israel or Jerusalem
every Abrahamic religion hated the other I doubt Jews like Christians very much
white man didn't appear in the bible, Jesus certainly wasn't white (European) even the queen of Sheba was from Ethiopia
your taking created in gods image far too literally in spirit not in psychical form 2 which god does not actually have
You can enslave anyone you want god punishes once your dead otherwise you wouldn't have freewill
Yes god allows you to do anything you want just because you can doesn't mean you shouldn't
= No not all religions are wrong well not for your reason plenty of religions with no Deity's whatsoever
the Egyptian were happy to have Jews as slaves but they don't fit the idea of your that evil white colonialists were the only ones to ever have slaves

I don't believe God said we were all created equal. Although it's a pretty thought, it's not true. Some people were created smarter, more attractive, stronger etc. We certainly aren't all equal. Although we, as a society, accept slavery as a wrong and injustice, at one time it was a way of life. When an enemy was defeated, you had 2 choices --- kill everyone so that they could never retaliate and attempt to retake what was taken OR kill the people most likely to attempt something like that and take everyone else into slavery. At that time, slavery was probably the more humane choice. It was a more primitive time and the choices were definitely different from now (in most cases). Slavery has been around far longer than Christianity (and still exists today in portions of Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. http://www.antislavery.org/homepage/antislavery/trafficking.htm
)
****EDIT***
Your question was originally fairly thought provoking (although wildly written) but now your comments are bordering on bizarre. If you focus your thought process a little more and stop reacting to each and every comment, your question won't seem so rambling. People are answering your question. This isn't a debate forum.

God created all men equal, man made slaves. God gave man the right to choose between right and wrong. We make our own decisions.
Just as an aside, all throughout history all different races of people have been made slaves - not just the blacks. I'm a little tired of hearing about them being slaves. Check out history and see how many other races of people were sold into slavery, even by their own people like the blacks. They do not have first dibs on it. And white people were not always the ones doing it.

Just remember that the Jews are Gods "chosen children" and look what happened to them from Jerusalem to Berlin ! So rather than you speculating about His actions in a manner which has easily been proven wrong, why don't you reassess your understanding of God and the scriptures?
And to say the whiteys are "at the other end of the scale" shows your history too is a bit dodgy. When the bubonic plague wiped out 100 000 000 in Europe alone and the joint follies of the first and second world wars wiped out another 200 000 000. It is estimated that about 6 000 000 blacks were slaved, in view of this, you will see that the blacks and Jews have had an easier ride.
Please LEARN something.

The word "Electrode" springs to mind.
Racism, slavery or whatever has nothing to do with Religion, any religion...they are products of greed and power....the little man on the street wouldn't give a flyin fk if you were green with two heads... Besides, us whiteys would probably have been too skinny and whinging to do all the hard graftin that they made the blacks do. We could go on all day about why world leaders pour millions into space exploration and blowing the cr@p out of each other, while their countrymen cant even get a drink of water..... so, it's not God's fault, he gave us the choice, we fkt up. Next time the elections come along, get out there and vote for what you believe in, be seen to be actively trying to change things instead of whinging and fist shaking to us two-headed greenies... we all suffer oppression.

Wait, what's the question???? Oh, there is no question you just wanted to share your vile with the rest of us, thank you for that.
Here's an answer to your non-question, certainly not the only answer.
God, or nature, or whatever form of a supreme being one believes in, gave humans free will and that means that humans have the choice to choose evil (slavery) over good (human civil rights).
Although we are all created equal in God's eyes, human eyes see the world in different ways and to many, the color of one's skin or the religion one chooses to follow (btw, your "question" is a hypocritical attack on christians, but let's leave that alone shall we?). This use of humanity's free will should not be blamed on God.
Finally, your claim that all religions are wrong is quite off the mark. However, religions and churches are entities built with people, flawed and sometimes evil human beings. Just as there have been great individuals in various religions over time, there have been those that have exploited the churches for their own ends. Some of us strive to be good people, some of us don't... the Catholic church, just as all other churches and religions, have all types of people in them. Again, I fail to see why this is all God's fault.

God's word wasn't law in those centuries any more than His word is law now.
Back then, like now, men made their own law to suit their own needs then told everybody they were "God's law."
God allows free will because He wants children, not puppets.
A lot of evil happens in the world because we misuse our free will and make bad decisions, to be ridiculously understated.
Along with slavery, why not ask why God permits disease, birth defects, pain, decay, and dispair?
Why an all-powerful and all-loving God permits such terrible things is ultimately a mystery.
You recognize that, admit that you have a mortal, not a divine, mind, and either choose to believe anyway, or turn your back and let anger fest inside of you.
At that point, that is your free will decision.

God created diversity when he created humans. He also gave humans free will because it was not his purpose to make robots who would have no choice as to whether they followed his just and holy laws. Humanity chose to rebel.
That, my friend, is the bottom line. Like it or not, the blame for slavery, murder, cruelty and man's inhumanity to man has to be laid upon sinful humanity - not God. It was never God's will for people to become slaves and to suffer. So why does he allow it?
Well, he has decreed a time when everybody will have to answer for their actions. Before that time comes he patiently waits for people to acknowledge their sinful natures and accept his solution. That solution is Jesus Christ who died for us.
Until God steps in and wipes out wickedness we have time to turn to God and accept Jesus Christ. Leave God to do the judging. He will not permit the wicked to continue indefinitely. He will bring to ruin those who are ruining the earth. In the meantime, instead of blaming God, why don't you check out what he has to say and get his version of justice?

Look get this straight, slavery has always existed, I do not seek to justify it, it is unpleasant wrong and sinful and has been considered illegal because of the efforts of this Country inspired be a Christian faith to end it. it has not always succeeded but it was a damned good try. I for one see no reason to apologise to anyone for slavery either now or in the future. We are were we are. I for one am becoming weary of certain people using the slavery augment to cover up their own shortcomings and failures.

God gave people free will - people have become racist thru this free will...God did not create them that way. People can be greedy, sick individuals...and check your history a little more thoroughly...many black people were sold into slavery by other black people. True, many white people bought them, but they also gave them food, lodgings, and clothes or cloth to make clothes for themselves in exchange for the work they did. That was so very long ago...why can't people just let it go and move forward with their lives? Start treating people as individuals and don't lump all into one group. God Bless us All!
