I had some questionable leadership growing up and I am just curious if others have experienced anything similar. Thanks!

Not all bishops are perfect. My current bishop is great, albeit somewhat shy. But he's a great guy. I did have one bishop though that cheated on his wife and left his family. Yeah, not so cool. But of all the 15 or more bishops I've had, there's only been one bad one.

For the most part though, you can trust your bishop they're good guys. :)

Bishops are men, and subject to the limitations of men.

I had a bishop who I thought was giving me the short end of the stick. At the time, I thought he was being unfair. Shortly after that, I had to move, and instead of staying in tat ward, I moved to another stake. In that stake, everything turned around for me, and I got more than waht I wanted in the last ward tat the bishop denied me.

God works His own will.

For the most part (in which I have needed to speak with my bishops for anything) my expereinces have been positive. We must always remember, just because these men have big responsibilities, perfection will never be there... they are not perfect, so sometimes we think one bishop may be "better" than another. Which really, that is our own judgemental thoughts taking over. They were called of God, the opportunity was given to them to be a key part in God's plan...whether or not they choose to magnify their calling and do the best they can is purely up to them. Some may do wonderful things in their ward, some may struggle and never be "all they can"... it is our responsibility to NOT judge them and support them, as long as it is in accordance with our Heavenly Father's will.

It has been great!
Like a month ago we got a new president in our ward, the other one was moving out of state, I'd say that both of them are excellent and very good person. The Stake president goes to our ward very often and he is excellent too, he is very nice.

my own father said "You cannot go to heaven unless you learn how to clean a house right." also "goe cannot talk to you." I had a seminary teacher tell me (fromt he Journal of doscources "that mary was married to our father in heaven in t he pre-existance. (I guess when the holy hgost came over her, jesus came six months later)" Someone asked..."but he is her Father???" he answered with..."But you marry your brothers and sisters." Mormons as you know call themselves brother so and so and sister so and so. This helped me to understand why my dad had adopted me as a daughter/wife (unlike the FLDS who have sister/wives)
Some of my sunday school teachers would sit around and watch the kids call me names like "dogface" "fangface" (my parents never finished my dental work, I still have fangs to this day), I had fleas, and other names. I kind of thought they would tell them to stop calling me names, but alas, no.
We had a school administrator who slapped my brothers face infront of everyone for making fun of cheerleaders at a game, I would have sued the school, my parents did nothing.
