I HATE to visit any doctor. I don't know why. They always treat me courteously. They usually don't hurt me. Tell me why YOU hate to visit the doctor and maybe I can figure it out.

I hate to go to the doctor too, but I don't really know why either. My doctor is nice too, and I've never had much to worry about. I think for me it might be that I worry something may be wrong. I really don't know why either for the most part though. Also, like said above, I'm afraid I'd go in for something small and it would end up being something big. That happened to my brother recently. He had went in for what we thought was hay fever, and it turned out to be leukemia. Now I'm even more freaked about the doctors.

The whole setting just makes me nervous, and past experiences I've had always come back to me and make me even more nervous, causing my blood pressure to not be normal when they check it. Everytime I go to the doctor, I think of the last times I went, and I start feeling that same way--sweating and feeling hot and cold at the same time. They can never get an accurate blood pressure reading from me. I'm not overweight or anything so I'm pretty sure it's normal.

As far as why this is, I guess it's just the whole idea of someone examining you. Me, I think I might have an anxiety disorder.

I hate going to the doctor because the best Doctor here simply kept giving me the same dosage tablets for my depression despite me telling him each time that there's been no improvement.
They just want you in and out as quick as possible.
Plus they usually start half an hour later than they should and I've known many a person to have to wait an hour or more after their appointment time before they actually see the Dr.

I work for a company processing referrals and I get calls from patients who have the same valid complaint: Nobody sees an actual doctor anymore. They see nurse practitioners who work for the doctor. What are we paying them for?

Bad news is a close second as to why people hate going to the doctor.

I HATE the bill that follows! I just paid over $800 for an annual gynie appointment and smash-o-gram. Since it is considered "preventative", my insurance won't cover any of it. Geesh!

I hate how they try to cure everything with a pill. I'd rather go the natural way. I know I'm healthy. I don't need anyone to tell me so.

Afraid of any possible bad news.

I'm always afraid I'm going to go in for something like a cold and it's going to be something worse than that.

I am scared to death of needles, that is one reason why. The wait is to long that, reason 2,3, and 4. 5th reason they don't always know what is wrong with you.
