This stuff is sick.
What are treatment effects?
alli™ works by preventing the absorption of some of the fat you eat. The fat passes out of your body, so you may have bowel changes, known as treatment effects. You may get:

gas with oily spotting
loose stools
more frequent stools that may be hard to control
What to expect
The excess fat that passes out of your body is not harmful. In fact, you may recognize it as something that looks like the oil on top of a pizza. Eating a low-fat diet lowers the chance of these bowel changes. Limit fat intake in your meals to an average of 15 grams.

Learn more about following a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet.

Learning how to manage treatment effects is an important part of being successful with alli. Here's how to take control:

Start trimming fat from your diet now, even before you begin taking alli. Then pick a day to begin taking alli, such as a weekend day so you can stay close to home if you experience a treatment effect. Mak

Yes. I haven't had any side effects; and I frankly I prefer to eat better and go to the gym; they recommend trying it at home for a few days, and follow directions carefully and you probably won't experience any side effects

I have not personally used the pill Alli but I hear it has some nasty side affects. I read an artical in People magazine about the pill. It says it works, however if you eat more that 15 g of fat at a meal you will have nasty diareea. Basically the pill is threatening you with the shits if you eat badly. I feel it is important to eat intuitivly and eat lots of protein and vegetables. the fats you eat in your diet along with ample protein and fiber will sasiate you longer and is a good thing. The Alli will give you the craps and mal-nurtious you. There is never a quick fix and the long term affects of this pill are not good. Just take a placebo if a pill is really needed to keep you on track with your diet. Fill capsuls will protein power and eat them as if you would the Alli pill if that is really a prefered mental method. I am not an advocate of the Allie pill and I beleive the side ffects are true.

So far I have lost 4 lbs in 3 weeks. You have to follow the diet as well. High fat meals will result in diarrhea. The most common side effect is oily spotting. I would recommend wearing a panty liner the first week.

Check out the Alli website for more information. I have found the nutritional tracker very helpful.

I spoke with several friends who have chosen Alli, and it is scary. Don't go anywhere without a change of clothing. They suggest you keep your fat intake down to 15 grams. That's one big cookie. Everything else has to be fat-less or you'll experience the "treatment effects." Seems to me, that if I could keep my fat intake to 15 grams, I wouldn't need a diet pill to help out. I'd start losing by myself. Without the cra**y underwear.

Unless you're grossly overweight, you don't mind smelling really bad (or take 4 showers a day) and you can live a basically fat-free existence, I don't recommended.

i know 2 people so far that have taken it. one girl said that she stopped after 2 days because it cramped her stomach up too much and she always felt she had to use the restroom and couldn't leave her post because of her job. my mother is taking it and she said she has felt very little cramping and experienced no discharge. if you eat fattening foods while using it, they will go straight through you, giving you the discomfort and increased output. i say it is worth a shot!
