one last question. Is it safe to go for an MRI of the brain and then a few hours later go for an EEG of the brain? I wish I knew more about the subjects but I dont. Any information would be deeply appreciated.

There is no any indication that there would be harm imposed if EEG is done after MRI. Infact, there has been a combined use of both in some diagnostic procedures.

Perfect safe normal combinations of exams. MRI and EEG don't do anything to you that would cause you a problem. The only side effect you may have is being tired from running around the hospital, but at least it will be done with and your Doctor can hopefully find some answers to your problem.
Where comfortable clothes and don't wear a lot of jewelry you will be required to take all lose metal off and lock it up.
Good luck.

two totally different things, if that is the way your doctor set it up then it is perfectly normal.....many times they set multiple test up for the same day. This way the results all come in at the same time and the doctor can read them all at once....If you have to fast, then you only have to do it once. This is more convenient for you and also for the hospital and doctor.....
