i want to learn the true version of the star spangled banner so i can screw around with and make it my own (like jimi hendrix did). i need the original tabs and NOT the jimi hendrix version. could someone send me links or possibly your own tabs please?

Here's a few links I found off the top of my head. I put "Star Spangled Banner Tabs" in the search the web box and got the following links. The first one was About guitar.com but all it had was chord symbols so I did not list it.

You can also find a combination of tablature and notation from both Pwertab and Guitar Pro and Tabledit. Hope this helps.

"The Star Spangled Banner" is written in the key of Bb. If you read music notation, it would be no problem to transpose down to A major and take advantage of clear, open A basses. Because you cannot read music, you must struggle at the whims of those having such tablature compositions.
