I visualize the energy of my resentment leaving my body and going out into the universe. For forgiveness, I have been visualizing the person in question across from me with energy streaming between us. I picture white light severing that energy as I tell them I forgive them. Then to some (that I have some understanding of) I send love energy from my heart chakra to them. Please share yours or feel free to use mine!

I pray that the Lord would help me to see others as HE sees them. I also visualize, jsut as you do, that the resentment is leaving my body.

I pray that the Lord would help me to forgive as He forgives.
I pray that He would help me to accept others as they are and that He would help them accept me as I am.

Concerning resentment and an unwillingness to forgive, I remember that holding on to resentment hurts only me. Not forgiving someone hurts only me.
I want to feel at peace. Holding on to negative thoughts and feelings thows your system out of balance and can make you sick.

There are a number, actually. One that occurs to me right now is that of a dog growling over his food dish. He will snap if you try to remove that food bowl - but he'll also come play with you when he's done eating. The anger is only attached to that threat of removing his bowl, nothing more permanent than that. There's really nothing worth clinging to and if there were anything worth clinging to, that anger would not be such a thing.

Good question.

You will laugh but on some days when there are a lot of post on FSM I imagine a fork swirling it all away from me. LOL I always try to maintain a good sense of humor.
Other wise I imagine my body taking a huge a breath and letting it all out in a cloud of red smoke then it drifts away.

Prayer. I remember that Jesus suffered for my mistakes and God always forgives us whenever we ask sincerely. Why should I not forgive those that have wronged me? Am I any better than Jesus? I think not.

I have resentment for no one. Just be generous enough to yourself to recognize that perfection does not exist. Your statements of your benevolence just don't sound right to me. I suspect you have a self righteous and smug attitude.
