You should tilt your head back, it will stop the bleeding. But you should also see why you get nose bleeds often. Good Luck!

go to walrgeens or other drug store. Purchase some "ocean spray" brand saline solution. use it as directed ( usually 2 sprays in each nostril 3 times a day. It's harmless, just sea salt and pure water. This time of year, with the heat, and allergies, your nasal membranes dry out, crack and bleed easily. Ocean spray keeps them moist and helps your allergies too. Seriously, works very well.

You just wet a piece of tissue paper with our safe, natural product, colostrum, insert it in the bleeding nostril, and the bleeding stops, just like that, leaving the nostril unclogged and with easy breathing. Colostrum, the pre-lacteal secretion of the mammary glands, is commonly known as "mother's milk". The purpose of colostrum is to ensure the survival, strength, and vitality of the newborn. Colostrum contains hundreds of healthful components. Some of those components, including healing agents, are provided by nature to deal with the trauma of birthing, such as tissue damage and bleeding. Synertek colostrum is harvested from U.S. grade A dairies, after giving the newborn calf an amount adequate for its needs.,,,,,,, but if you want it to be easy GO TO A DOCTOR,,,

You should go to a doctor if you have nose bleed, just in case it's something more serious. But in the meantime you could use a tampon. I hear they work wonders.

Sounds funny, but blow your nose. The reason people get nose bleeds is because of ruptured membranes. If we hold the nose with just tissue it takes forever for it to stop. By blowing, you force it all out at once. (per my son's pediatrician) It works everytime!

Tilt your head back, until the blood goes away.
Squeezing your nose makes it worse,or so I've heard.
