How do I stop a nose bleed?

When I was younger I used to get it everyday, but recently i've been getting it again. How can I stop it?

go to walrgeens or other drug store. Purchase some "ocean spray" brand saline solution. use it as directed ( usually 2 sprays in each nostril 3 times a day. It's harmless, just sea salt and pure water. This time of year, with the heat, and allergies, your nasal membranes dry out, crack and bleed easily. You should go to a doctor if you have nose bleed, just in case it's something more serious. But in the meantime you could use a tampon. I hear they work wonders.

Sounds funny, but blow your nose. The reason people get nose bleeds is because of ruptured membranes. If we hold the nose with just tissue it takes forever for it to stop. By blowing, you force it all out at once. (per my son's pediatrician) It works everytime!
