I too have to go up and down shopping aisles in a certain order and not miss one. I even turn round half way if whoever I'm with has turned in the wrong end! Both my daughters now do this when they go shopping ooops!

I cannot just chuck items into my shopping trolley, and no-one else is allowed to pack the bags because things have to be in the same bag. And, (I can't believe I'm admitting this) - but things have to go onto the conveyor belt in the right order, all breads together, fruit and veg together, etc. and if the checkout person throws my goods really quickly down the belt I really get the hump!

My c.d. collection has to be alphabetical.

My shirts, jeans, trousers have to be hung together.

My food can labels have to point outwards. (Oooh that's a bad one!).

Time to take me away tra-la!

I posted a similar question some time ago, because I thought I was the only one with a weird numbers obsession. My alarm always has to be set on an even number, but never ending in 0. When I walk into the bathroom, or to the train, or up the stairs, I count my steps and have to complete it by ending in an even number. I take a certain number of bites to finish my cake, and like another poster, I always set the volume on my tv on an even number. Whoa, so good to know that I am not the only nutcase when it comes to this numerology thingie!

I thought I was the only one with the wardrobe obsession!!!
I can't go to sleep with the wardrobe doors open. It applies to any type of wardrobe doors and at my friends' house I have to close them too.

While at the spermarket, I choose every item I buy carefully even if that means taking out 10 packs of crackers to find one that are not as tosted or not broken.
Once my ex boyfriend saw me with like 10 packs of crackers lying on the floor while I was palping crackers on the stand packs and he freaked out. I told him I would put it the same way I found them! I always do. And of course I never ever buy the first item on the row I must dig back!

I'm a perfectionist to the extreme especially when it comes to DIY and things like decorating a room.
It has to be perfect and could never employ anyone to do it because they'd never get close enough to my standard.

When i visit people i can't help and notice all the mistakes they've made with wallpaper, paint, how they fitted the kitchen, the pile on the carpet goes the wrong way, etc.

I never mention it because well, that's not right to criticise someones house and hard word so i just sit there, looking at it and it drives me mental !

I do the cold pillow thing too. I also have to check my alarm clock like 50 times to make sure I set it to go off in the AM and not PM. Even when I'm sure it's set right, I set my phone to go off 15 minutes later than the clock. It drives other people crazy but I'm so paranoid about not waking up on time.

When I go shopping to the supermarket I can't bear anyone else packing my bags or 'helping' as all the items have to go in the right order - fruit and veg together, bathroom stuff together, cleaning items together etc. It really makes me uncomfortable if things are in the wrong bags! It started off as a time saving thing - i.e. easier to unpack the other end, but now I have to do it (I am a freak LOL)

I can't stand having stuff on my hands either - that's one reason I hate eating sweets - as they get your hands sticky - YUCK - I have to keep washing them

I do that too! I thought I was the only one...
My partner gets annoyed because I have this strange obsession with turning the quilt on the bed over so it's 'on the cold side', same with the pillows.

I like your question for it reminds me of my silly action. I am a perfectionist... to a fault that is. I can't stand dirt especially the flying ones, those that settles on furniture, bed, house electronics, just name it. After vacuuming the entire house, I sit down to enjoy the clean sight, but then I sight a particle of flying dirt and I had to put on the vacuum cleaner and start vacuuming all over again, it's weird, it's crazy but I do it : )

I do that but I consider myself highly organized and efficient, mostly because I am lazy. "A place for everything and everything in it's place" is hardly obsessive. You stick to your way, it is the best. I wouldn't get mad over anything so trivial. Your little peculiarities might be driving everyone mad too.

I "face" all of my canned goods in the pantry and the bottles on the shelves in the refrigerator. "Facing" is putting them in such a way that all like-products are together, and all labels are facing out so they can be read. Drives me crazy if I open the cupboard and see the backs of cans. Who knows what they are?

I also face my CDs and DVDs in their cases so they’re right-side-up in the case.

And I make sure all of my paper money is faced the same direction and orientation.
