But when something goes wrong it's either the work of the Devil or a person's free will?

If God is all-knowing and all-powerful, why do you give Satan or men the same abilities to change people's lives?

Also, if God knows everything that's ever going to happen, how exactly do we have free will? If everything that's ever going to occur is already laid out and known, how is that giving us a choice?

Redneck: You do realize that with that line of thinking, Satan has just as much power as God. Remember, in the beginning, he was a fallen angel, not a fallen god.

The only logic answer to your question is that God, Satan and the concept of Free Will are society inventions to control the population by FEAR.

Read the book of Job. Satan had to go to God first before afflicting Job. God was in control of Satan, therefore God was in control of all the bad things that happened to him.

God uses the bad things for good. He is sovereign in everything. A person's will is not free. It is under the bondage of sin. So yes, perhaps the person can choose to do this, or do that, but it's all under God. Person does sin, while God uses it for good.

We do have our own choice, but it's all under the curse of sin. A person cannot convince himself to be saved. God has to do that. So you might also say that God predestines some to be saved, and some not to be.

If you want some better answers than mine, read about John Calvin or find his book Institutes of the Christian Religion. Or better yet, just read the Bible.

I believe I've already answered this one before.

Because god employed the marketing firms of grey advertising and young and rubicant.

While satan, due to his lack of financial backing because at that time he had just fallen and as a start up dimension could not afford to spend a lot on advertising, had to go with "billy simms' 1-2-3 marketing and donkey wholesalers co."

EDIT: later, god also was able to enlist the help of certain criminal organizations to further strongarm the devil.
Can you name me one mafia personality that is a satan worshipper? No most believe in god.

god know what going to happen and why, its just that hes is putting us a lot of obstacles so he can test us and see if we are strong enough to resist the devil of making us sin, now no matter what dont let satan make you think that easy stuff is good.

follow the ten commandments
let god go into you life
and he will guide you and protect you from sin.

Actually - the answer you refer to means that Satan is MORE powerful than God, since we're always struggling uphill to gain the upper hand on nature.

I do not know how you can say that something goes right of wrong if you do not accept the standard of God.

God had a perfect plan. I am happy He gave us our free will.

Because every good and perfect gift comes from God. In him there is light...and there is no darkness at all!
Jas 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect ( free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].
