Personally, and this is strictly my opinion, I think that the Jehovahs Witness religion is odd. I am not just basing my judgement on what I've heard. The entire family on my fathers side belongs to that religion and I have many a times went to a sermon there. Here are some reasons why I think its crazy:

My sis broke a strung out, misfits, primus, and various other cds when she joined because of the use of curse words/

They wouldnt give a blood transfusion to save the life of their own child or loved one, wouldnt recieve one to keep them alive

Think all holidays, even ones celebrating God are of Pagan rituals and will not celebrate anything inc. birthdays

Sis wont watch Transformers, even though its rated pg, because they talk shortly about masturbation (shes 19 years old)

Walks door to door and tries to talk people into their religion and will not take no for an answer.

They will dis fellowship you and if you go to the church after being dis fellowshiped, no one can talk to u

I also didnt take into account that there are people that think religion in general is ridiculous, I thank you too, for your opinions!

They look pretty peaceful to me, but Im on the outside. if what they do does not make sense and they dont foster individual thinking, then theres a slight problem with that.

I believe what youre describing is more around the lines of a cult, to me the weirdest religion is probably Scientology.

Reason: they want thousands of dollars so you can go up in their ranks

Too many people work to demean those of other religions, but sadly this is nothing new. Even the "friends" of the long-suffering man Job spent days or weeks mocking his worship; in Job's case his form of worship was ultimately vindicated.

(Job 42:9-12) Jehovah himself turned back the captive condition of Job when he prayed in behalf of his companions... As for Jehovah, he blessed the end of Job afterward more than his beginning

Even in the first century, the bible discusses how both the Jews (who had the same Scriptures) and the pagans worked to demean Christianity and Christians. Interestingly, many or most Americans would agree that Christianity seems to have been vindicated as a valid form of worship.

It does seem strange that a godly person who avoids music and movies with profanity and sex is called "ridiculous" or "odd". Perhaps those who mock such wholesomeness ignore the applicable bible principle.

(1 Peter 3:16-17) Hold a good conscience, so that in the particular in which you are spoken against they may get ashamed who are speaking slightingly of your good conduct in connection with Christ. For it is better to suffer because you are doing good, if the will of God wishes it, than because you are doing evil.

Mormons. It's a cult.
They worship "Joseph Smith" because he had a "vision of the lord", which is complete BS.
If you die, depending on how many children you have, you get a certain number of planets to live on.
And the whole polygamy thing started after Joseph Smith's wife found out that he was cheating on her. So he made up this story about how the lord talked to him saying that only this religion is allowed more than one wife.

Odd, strange, different, maybe; but not ridiculous. Each of us believe in something for whatever reason and that is our right. But for any of us to call that belief ridiculous is unfair and cruel. We don't have to like what is different from us, we don't even have to take the time to understand it, but to belittle it down is just mean regardless of what our beliefs are.
If we take 1/2 of the time to tolerate different opinions and beliefs then we do in putting then down we would have a much better world to live in :)

Definitely Scientology (a controversial belief system developed by L. Ron Hubbard, based on a person being an immortal spiritual being whose survival depends on him/herself and his/her attainment of brotherhood with others and the universe).

All religions are ridiculous. They are all completely contrived by humans and force you to believe in things that aren't there and will kill you and/or harm you over differences in beliefs and the choice of the wrong made up god.

Religion is man made so to me and what I believe is, Their is a God in heaven but in order to get to him according to the Bible we have to have Jesus, and in order to have Jesus you have to let God's spirit draw you to Jesus, and when you accept Jesus as your personal savior then the spirit of God starts dealing with on how to have this relationship with Jesus and teaches you more about him through God's word.then the spirit of God will teach you how to seek after the things of God and of Jesus to teach you the true that the scribes Pharisees could not see because there spiritual eyes were closed and that is a big problem today we have spiritual eyes but we don't see what God is doing. so here is what I believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and having a relationship with them and knot worry about the religions and denominations just seek after God and Christ through the spirit of God.

All religions are man-made and thus ridiculous. Praying and believing in a fictional god is as lame as a person can get.
