I feel really frumpy today, and look really tired and ill - very pale. Supposed to be going on a date tonight, but not happy with what I'm wearing or that I don't have any fake tan on. Shall I call it off?

Go for a run. Take a shower.

You'll feel better. Your adrenaline will be pumping more, and you'll feel less frumpy because you did some exercise. A shower will wake you up, and kind of give you a new lease on the day, psychologically speaking (since most people start their days with a shower).

Failing that, you should know that the odds are he won't think you're frumpy. Just because YOU feel that way, you probably actually look the exact same as you did when he asked you out.

So it won't make any difference to him. Relax and have fun.

No way! If a guy likes you enough to want to take you on a date, he's probably been waiting all week for this day! I know I do!

The guy won't care so much what you look like. He can't see everything you can. If you feel frumpy, he won't see it at all and still say you look great. Guys like me can't tell the difference usually. And the tan, make-up, and paleness are fine too.

Do NOT call it off just because you don't like how you look today. Unless you start throwing up, on the date with him...Please.

Personally I wouldn't be waiting around for him to call. I would be talking to other guys and keep living my life. If he ever calls again I would really think about if I really want to try again. And I definitely wouldn't change any plans I already had to date him either since he already cancelled once on you. If you do want to go out with him, then make make the date for a time you have free and not busy. I most definitely wouldn't be calling him.. Since you don't know why he cancelled and didn't arrange a new date you also don't know if he has changed his mind about you completely or not. If he has and you call you end up running the risk of looking like a desparate person. If he still wants to go out but didn't rearrange then he is just dumb and assumes you will be available and don't have anything better to do than wait for him to call. That is not a good position to be in either. Just live your life and if he calls he calls, if he don't then take it as a sign that there is probably somebody better out there.

No! Definitely not! What else are you going to do? Sit at home and feel crap about yourself all night? Also, what is the guy going to think? Thant you're not interested and you might not get another chance! Run yourself a nice hot bath pour yourself a cold glass of wine. Use a face mask, exfoliate the moisturise to brighten that dull complexion. Theres still time for your fake tan to develop too - I use piz buin it develops within 30 minutes and they sell it at Tescos so if you nip out now you can be tanned and gorgeous within the hour! Wear something bright tonight - maybe a light summery top with jeans? Bright colours will lift your mood, show off your tan and brighten your complexion. This is nothing a bit of pampering won't fix! Get out there and enjoy yourself!!

is it a first date? if so, reschedule as if you feel good, you look good. If you tired and struggling to make conversation, he'll think you are boring. He might be put out a bit by you cancellign last minute. IF you do go, if he's good enough, you'll have a great time and get right in the mood.

I think the guy wanted to see you, not your fake take. Go for a quick run or walk (good for your mood), get a shower, put on something that's at least comfortable, add some makeup and go have fun.

I would go but then I dont like letting people down- im really funny like that!!

I know exactly how you feel tho- all us girlies feel like that at some point!!

Just relax and take your time getting ready! Have a few drinks!!

Better to regret going then wonder 'what if'!! You never know this one could be Mr Right!!!!!!! Go and have fun!!

Enjoy!!

If you're not feeling well, cancel. What's with the fake tan? Have you got bad skin or something?

you've got to take the good with the bad, the rough with the smooth, at least if he asks for another date you'll know he likes you for the person you are.

Does the fake tan thing REALLY matter in the grand scheme of things?
