So, here goes.

Me and my younger brother both had our annual physical this week, and we noticed that both of our urine samples we're very dark. Now I just got a call that we need to go back to discuss the lab results.

Should I be worried? Is it some kind of joint infection or reaction?

Thanks

I have been borderline iron deficiency anemic since I was born. He was anemic from a drastic change in diet for a few months but he isn't any more.

Your doctor will give you the details of your cases. If there's nothing else going on, though, the most likely cause of dark yellow urine is dehydration. Drink more water.

If you have no complaints regarding joints or anyother, I think you should not worry. Your doctor will tell you anyhow what is happening. Increase your fluid intake.
Good luck!

black urine disease, alcaptonuria or ochronosis) is a rare inherited genetic disorder of tyrosine metabolism.

I remember my teacher saying this was a characteristic symptom of alcaptonuria

get well soon, good luck :)
