You should be nice to the cats. They do not want to be homeless and have to worry about food and a safe place to sleep. All living creatures have rights.
There is a web-site called "Alley Cat Allies" that has more information. I'll link it. You should read it.

Well this would be domestic animal abuse and it is one of the most common types of animal cruelty. If caught, you could actually be fined and put in jail. So swinging the cat by it's tail probably isn't a good idea. I'd try a different method to get the cats out of your lawn.

All animals have rights. Just because you don't want them aound does not give you the right to abuse them.
If people would spay & neuter their pets there wouldn't be this type of problem.
Call the local Humane society. They will either come and pick them up or offer to let you borrow their traps. Then they can pick them up when the strays are trapped.
Some cities even have programs that trap the stray then fix them then release back out again.
Cats are used to control rodent and noxious birds like pigeons in these cities.

You really should try. After 33 years as a guard in a prison I know how much child and animal abusers are enjoyed. First thing they'll do is knock your front teeth out so you can't bite down. Guess Why?

No, that is just wrong! you can put out "have-a-heart" traps and catch them without hurting them or you can use other methods to keep them away from your lawn. call the local aspca and see if they will do anything. Just do not hurt the cat it is only doing what is natural!

It could get your jail time here.
Animal abuse is taken seriously by the cops. It's not just animal control that answers these calls.

No, that would be considered animal abuse.
You can scare them off or try to catch them in give them to an SPCA. Or if you have a dog, let it go after it.

NO!!!!!!! If I knew you I'd report you to the police and have you thrown in jail. No pesticides either. That's called animal abuse/cruelty.
Please don't be mean and do that.
