Get a hot tea bag and cool it for a few minutes till it's warm, then apply it to the eyelid. Keep applying (warm) until swelling ceases. This also cures pink eye.

There isn't that much you can do, I'm afraid. Try putting some ice on it, that usually takes the swelling down. I had something similar to this, if it hurts, it's just a little spot that you usually find when you wake up, it's small and white, and usually near your eyelashes or in the corner of your eye. If this is the case, just get some eye ointment. But if it itches, it must be a bug bite, all I can think of is the ice thing. Oh, happy birthday to him, by the way! Good Luck! :)

my daughter is sensitive to bug bites too - the puffiness will last for almost a week. I would put cool washcloths on the eye and before bed and when he wakes up dab just a little neosporin right on the bite. But as it is so close to his eye you will have to be very careful not to get in his eye.

He will have a fun party anyway - with or without a puffy eye.

Wow, poor little guy. There really isn't much you can do. My daughter got bit on her eye and it took about a day untill she could open it. We took lots of pictures and laugh at them all the time.

Sounds like he may have a sty on his eye. I am not a doctor, but that is what it sounds like.
