The other day as I was leaving the doctors office, I took my first antibiotic pill. It was called Avelox, I have never been on it. I had my mom and 3 of my four children in the car with me. I was driving. About 15 minutes after taking the pill I started to feel very funny. My eyes started watering, my head started "buzzing" and I just felt out of it. My mom told me to pull over and she would drive, but I said that I was fine and not to worry. Well, my face got red and I started to itch all over. My heart was racing. I pulled over. My mom took the wheel and gradually I got worse. I had all these hives and I started to swell very badly. We were not in an area that we knew well, so my mom pulled over and called 911. By the time the rescue squad arrived, my tongue and mouth and throat started to swell. I was thinking, "God, not now, I am only 29". I recieved 3 doses of epi-pen and more! God spared me. Has this happened to you? Life is too short, be eternally grateful.

I did thank them. But, if it were not for the Lord than they would not have had the tools or knowledge to save me.

If you do not believe in my Lord, than at least be respectful. Certainly the hateful remarks I have recieved are further proof that the world is full of disrespectful and mean spirited people. But, the Bible predicted this to be so.

Space Lover: Amen! That is exactly what this situation made me think. That God allowed this to happen to me so that I would realize how short of time we have. I need to praise Him more and work for Him more. I need to slow down and spend more time with my children and be more Christ-like. Amen.

J.P: It really saddens me that you are so full of adament hate and anger. You may not realize or "believe" that God is in control of all, but your immaturity and anger is what is hurting you. Calm down!!! Take a step back. Even if you do not blieve as I do, certainly you should have the view that life is indeed delicate.

Oh and J.P. The Emt's were like 50 years old. And I did thank them very much! So stop being so presumptious.

J.P. Yes, all is forgiven because He first forgave me. I know that God uses all types of situations to show us the way and keep us on track. I know that when I die, I will live forever in His glory.

Yes my baby daughter ate eggs for the first time at 6 months old and almost died before we could get her to the emergency room. I ran into the ER screaming, 'My baby isn't breathing!' and she wasn't. So if you are allergic like this be very careful with your kids. My daughter is celebrating her 30th birthday at the end of this month and has been on a special diet all of her life...but she is healthy...

People are living in a "fast lane" way of life. They wok hard to earn money and blanket themselves with the material comforts thinking these could make them happy and somehow ease the emptiness they feel inside. But life is more than just what you see and get from your senses. There are things that just can't wait: telling your love ones that how much you love and care for them; hugging your mom and dad; forgiving those whom you are not talking eye to eye lately; learning new things from different places and culture; helping your next door neighbors; appropriating time to volunteer in charitable works; and visiting God's place of praises (mosques, churches, synagogues, temples).
Life is just too short that before we know it, everything has just passed by us. We tend to focus on things we perceive to be important not on things we spiritually feel are important.

I'm not making light of your situation but in most cases it's unadvisable to drive or operate machinery while on antibiotics as they may cause drowsiness. They can also have the side-effects you described but it's rare for most people.
I am very happy that you're doing better now.

yeah, those doctors who actually saved you did nothing, jesus spared you, he let children drown in their cribs in Katrina a few years ago but you are SOOOO special that he personally selected you. What a shallow self righteous, despicable way to view the world. Grow up, people like you really make me sick. jesus did S.F.A. the doctors saved you dummy.
Taking medication you have never had before and the driving with your kids in the car is just stupid, i guess your mom also helped to save your life. jesus did nothing.

God spared you?
Then why did you waste the EMTs' epi-pens? Surely if God was sparing you, he could have done so without the EMTs.
Did you bother thanking the EMTs for saving your life? Seems to me they did a lot more than your sadist of a god who let you suffer as long as he did if he was just going to spare you later.
--
If it was not for the Lord they wouldn't have had the knowledge and tools?
So much for the medical accountant who ordered the epi-pens in the first place ... not to mention the uniforms, the ambulance, and the gas put in the ambulence.
So much for the thousands of years of medical traditions, the doctors and earlier EMTs who through trial, error, and hypothesis advanced the medical knowledge of allergy reactions and developed the technology of epi-pens.
So much for the hard work of Henry Ford who invented the assembly line method by which an economy existed to support the manufacture of epi-pens and ambulances.
So much for the families of the EMTs who made sacrifices to send their sons and daughters to school to become EMTS.
So much for the EMTs themselves who even as they helped you were likely paying off student loans, digesting their last meal of ramen noodles because they had poured their income into paying off their debt, which they entered all for the sake of being there when you needed them.
I'm sorry... where... exactly... was your so-called god in all of this?
--------
Bravo, way to focus on the hyperbole and utterly fail to answer the question
I've pointed out literally thousands if not millions of people who all were directly involved in thos EMTs being there to help you.
How exactly was your deity involved?
If you presume he was omnipotent, then he caused the problem you claim he helped fix. If I were to cut your arm off but then grow you a new one as good as the old, is all forgiven? Or are you still going to realize having your arm cut off hurts like all sorts of heck?
What a sadist you claim your deity is.
----------
Wow. So, when would you like to get together so I can cut off your arm? Tissue printing technology is coming along nicely, I'm sure we can make you a new arm before you die.
Oh, but where will your god have been in the billions of man-hours involved in inventing that technology?
You have failed to answer the one question I've been asking -- where was your deity involved? Show me the SLIGHTEST thing miraculous, totally against all odds, about what happened to you.

Don't be so naive, God didn't spare you. What would have happened if you didn't dial 911. Next time you feel like your in a life threatening situation don't do anything..just keep praying and see what happens...Seriously try it and let us know how it turns out.
