Tammy Faye was on Larry King last night and is dying of Cancer. She said she believes 100% in heaven. I do not. If you believe in Heaven, what makes you so certain?

It is important not to fear death. It is inevitable, and fearing it would only mar the time you have here before it happens. For alot of people, believing in a wonderful peaceful place is their way of avoiding that fear. Death is the only thing that you go through completely alone and without any prior knowledge as to what it will be like (or won't be like). Believing that there is someone on the other side to help you through makes it bearable. Believing all your dead relatives and pets are there waiting for you makes it almost desirable.

Anyways, I don't think people have to defend their belief in heaven, and I don't think they have to prove to anyone why they think it's there. It's a personal choice that makes them happy.

A belief in heaven usually coincides with a belief in God. Believing in heaven is just basically believing that God will take care of you after you die. Death scares a TON of people, and they like the comfort that it's going to be okay. In my opinion, heaven isn't an actual place, just being close to God. If I didn't believe in heaven, then I wouldn't be trusting my God. Of course, there is no 100% way of being certain. There's no proof whatsoever that man can look at. It's just believing in something bigger than your life now. Also, no one wants to think that everything about them will end once they die. They like to think that they'll keep on living for eternity, and heaven provides that hope. Jesus told us that there was a heaven, and that we'd meet him there someday, but not everyone believes that because it conflicts with other religions.

I seen her on the show, she really looks bad don't she..Its sad to see her like that and how she once looked, but cancer is a bad thing.. I do believe in heaven very much, why because to me there is nothing else that has held any interest for me as much as heaven has. In heaven you have freedom from all things, you have peace, no tears no sickness no nothing bad..It is peace, it is love and joy..That's the best reason I can give my I believe..Plus it is promised to me too..

Genesis 1:1 says - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - this is why I believe in Heaven.

Psalm 124: says - Our help is in the name of the LORD,Who made heaven and earth - this is why I believe in Heaven.

Phillipians 3:20 - For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ - this is what makes Heaven so certain for me.

Of course, but it is more then believing in Heaven but the Designer of all things. The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Him who triumphs over all. Jesus Christ! God Almighty. The Holy Spirit. {Equaling 1} He is God. The Only God. Lets Worship Him Always.........

Hebrews Chapter 11:

1Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of(A) things not seen. 2For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3By faith we understand that the universe was created by(B) the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of(C) things that are visible.

If you read the rest of the chapter is gives numerous examples of faith and why Christians believe. This is a hard concept for non-believers to understand because they often times have no faith in things outside their direct observations.

I believe or disbelieve nothing, for a belief is accepted without proof. I see no real evidence to support the existence of Heaven or Hell, so I know they are imaginary.

Jesus actually came to earth and told us. The bible tells us so.

Although I'm not going to say that you're wrong. People have their own religious beliefs, and anyone who posts that yours is wrong has no right to do so.
