Good morning Toot......This question has a lot of controversy and it's an interesting question. I too, have watched different broadcasts, documentaries and church sermons on T.V. that have their own interpretations or views on your issue. And in my opinion only God knows the answer. We can assume when Christ will return and the scientists can predict but only God can answer this question accurately and truthfully. In the Book of Revelation which to me is a mystery in itself describes when the end is near and the forthcoming of Christ. The Scriptures doesn't give us an exact date but however gives us clues if one is smart enough to understand it. Now scholars and Christian historians have been trying to cypher the Book of Revelation for years with no accurate answers. Now some say, that the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse have already begun because of the signs such as famine, earthquakes, diseases, wars and death have occurred. Then you have the Anti-Christ which is known by the numbers that equal to the numerical value of 666. The Bible states it is a man. So, who is this man they call the Anti-Christ? Some say that the Anti-Christ will be someone that is very popular in the political field. That he will gain their trust. The Bible states that only those humans that has his number will be able to buy or sell. Who is this man? Some thought that Hitler was the Anti Christ, some thought it was Winston Churchhill. Others thought it was our president Ronald Reagan because of the numbers of his name. Some individuals believe it's our president in office now because of his ideals and the war in the Middle East. We all have tried to interpret the meanings behind the Book of Revelation but the fact is God gave those clues to John to be written down and God decides when and who will decypher the codes. Only God knows when His son will return to earth to give us, His children, an ever lasting peace in His new Kingdom. I believe that Jesus will be coming soon, I feel sometime in this decade. When? I don't actually know but I'm not going to dwell on something that I can't predict. I'm going to try to live by Gods laws and be ready when the time comes and hope and pray that I will be blessed to enter Gods New Kingdom. have a wonderful day!

Jesus shows up alot, but they always kill him and his real supporters. All kinds of preachers, con men and women, politicians, churches, groups, and seminaries are involved, and its always done to gain status, money, power, and control. Besides, his anti-war stance rubs most folks the wrong way, because no one can stand hearing that our first responsibility is to love others. Last time I saw him he was in the Castro getting beaten to the sidewalk by a bunch of anti-gay fundies. He'd made the mistake of showing up at an HIV cure fund raiser.

In a worldly sense, it's true - it's been 2000+ years since Christ left for heaven. BUT he did say he'd return "someday." Problem with "someday" is that you never know when. Only God knows and He ain't talking.

Now by "God" we're referring to the holy trinity - God, the Father, God, the Son and God, the Holy Spirit. - Just making sure you go this.

What the TV Preachers are doing - is trying to get people to understand that - Someday is coming - When? We don't know. But it's coming. We'd be really well-advised to get our hearts and minds right with God.

OK so God didn't come when WE TOLD HIM TO COME! But that's because we're not in charge of things - God is. God will do things in God's time - not when it's convenient for us. God could come tomorrow or not for ten thousand years. Time as we know it is meaningless to God. That's why He is known as the beginning and the end - the Alpha and the Omega. God doesn't care about linear time. But we puny humans care about time - so that's why we get impatient for God to "do something." That's why we're just mere puny humans. We're not God.

There is scripture for it - but I"m not good with chapter and verse - but it has to do with Jesus saying to people, come with me - and everyone had an excuse - let me finish plowing my field. Let me bury my dead father. Let me have one more second to do whatever. Jesus says that this is really sad because God's going to come and take us - at HIS convenience - unplowed field not withstanding.

Darling one, No one is guaranteed tomorrow. So it's really a good idea to get your soul in order today - while you still can.

Back to the preachers - they want people to know this - and of course, since they don't have control over who is watching the show, they really want to make sure everyone as the opportunity to at least hear the message of salvation - and Jesus' eventual return. It's not that they have nothing else to speak about - but since again, no one is guaranteed tomorrow, and their air time is pitiously short, they need to get THE most important message out as quickly as possible to as many as possible - that Jesus will come and you'd better be prepared for that time. Whether it's tomorrow or ten thousand years from now - Jesus will come and you'd better be prepared.

Hope this helps a little bit.

Bottom line, cut the TV Preachers some slack, why don't you? And maybe take a look at where you want to spend eternity - there are two places to go. One is right pleasant - the other is someplace I wouldn't wish on an enemy. But the choice is yours.

That's the thing about salvation - it's an individual thing. No one can choose salvation but you.

He's not.
Names and places were just riddles.
Just a community leader has to be elected to guide the flock of lost sheeps home in worshiping God with the mess out there.
That is what Delta Dawn in Bethlehem on X'mas day is all about.
When the Union Jack is having "God save the queen" the promised land in hands
Ever wonder why the Union Jack has to lead in solving the mess out there when "God save the queen" is with them..
Not with "Woman in love"
Luke 24.44-45.47-49
The events had been going on for centuries witthout anyone being aware of it.
The mystery of us-911 expose it is our time to solve the blunders and slip-ups with human errors created back in the past centuries being expose in the new millenium.
Luke 10.24
Those back in the past could not trace or solve it during their time.
But Nostradamus did mentioned about it in his time.
It's up to us to solve it and save our own little ones, own children , own genration and living human kind for the good of mankind on planet earth.
If we don't solve the mess out there.
Revealation 17-20 will be over the horizon in time.
The misery was expose by the missing key.
At first thought it was a joke.
When the children keep on kicking the butts in making a mess only then realised they were in real troubles out trhere.
So survivors with their children from after world war two is the last descendant of this generation that have to solve the mess out there for the good of mankind.
Children of survivors were the ones with our creator's universal gifts of life can solve the mess out there.
"The young one" at loss with those gifts will not be able to solve the mess should we all leave with time without solving it for them.
That will be disastrous to them.
So we have to do it now.
Iraq is the living examples of what will happen in time.
Until they be the last of the Mohican on planet earth.
Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

Well my friend, Jesus is coming back. Only the Father (God) knows when Jesus is coming back. The bible tells us that Jesus has wisdom of all the mysteries, but He doesn't know when He is coming back; only His father, which is God knows. His father has not revealed that to Him. Jesus will know when His father tells Him and at that time Jesus will be here. Not to walk the earth, but to gather the ones that are Holy. I hope that you are reading your bible because if you are then you will see that everything that is mentioned in it is coming to pass. Once the entire bible has been fulfilled then our Savior will come. I know that this has been talked about for many and many of years, but please know that He is coming. And the question isn't "When is He coming", but "Who's gonna be ready when He comes?" I pray that you take this response and meditate on it and take it serious because this is surely going to happen!!!
BLESSINGS!!!

In one sermon, Jesus said he would come into his kingdom while the people hearing him still lived.See Matthew 16:28 for that! Preachers and politicians both scare the rubes with silly stuff to gain more power over them. I have seen dozens of predictions about Doomsday. All have been wrong, and all will be wrong. Skeptics doubt that Jesus lived at all, for he is mentioned only in the Bible and by Jewish historians who blindly copy it, e.g. Flavius Josephus. We know Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar and Charlemagne really existed, because they are mentioned in many lands, but the existences of Jesus and King Arthur are much less certain. Jesus will never appear, because he did not exist.

Never.
The Bible, especially the New Testament, is a fabrication of the Roman Emperors to pacify a rebellious Judea, who subsequently edited the Old Testament ex post facto to prophesize about the Roman invented Jesus myth

Jesus sits two desks away from me here at work, he is a pretty cool guy, gives me rides home from work every now and then. He speaks spanish and is a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico. Nothing out of the ordinary.

In the old testament, Israelites were saying the same thing about God's judgment. They were saying it's only a threat... not real, that he will never come and punish them... until Nebuchadnezzar came and destroyed Jerusalem... oops
