If you're choosing to be a vegetarian I highly respect that. However, you might want to do a little research (or a lot) to understand better what types of relations we have with animals that provides us with our paint brushes. Believing in something and carrying it a little too far to an extreme is not always the more intelligent path to take.

When you go to the barber shop to have your hair trimmed or cut is the barber hurting you or making you suffer? Are you dying as you lose that unwanted or un-needed hair? Animals, like humans, shed their hair.

Natural hair brushes are made from hog, horse, camel, badger, sable, llama and even human hair. No animals are killed to acquire this hair. It's like when you clip a sheep's wool to acquire the wool you don't kill the sheep.

Synthetic brushes are made from one type of plastic fiber or another. Plastic fibers, like all plastics, are petroleum by-products. The production of and the consumption of petroleum by-products (from gas to plastics, including paint brushes) does a hundred million times more to hurt the environment and the ozone layer and the health of animals worldwide than shaving off the same hair that an animal would normally shed in the summer anyway. We humans do great harm to animals and the envoronment and ourselves by using petro based products like plastics and gas.

Always be passionate in your beliefs. But please be equally intelligent about why you have them and how you apply them.

And at least learn how to spell what you believe in being!

SYNTHETICS! Any synthetic brush is made from a man made material. You will find TONS of them at an art store. They are much easier to find and cheaper than real hair brushes.
and DOC WATSON is right on with his answer.
It does not hurt the animals to make brushes out of their fur. They don't get killed in the process.
P.S. A natural hair brush is the best kind you can get. Since you seem very young though, you wouldn't want to waste your $ anyway until you learn more.

Far as I know cutting an animals hair does not hurt them.
There are tons of synthetic brushes. The ones with real hair are very expensive... Go to the store... The brushes tell you, but you can tell at a glance by the price.
