I spotted this on It's Me or the Dog on Ch4 last night. I've searced the net but the only ones I can find connect to the rear wheel of the bike.

Think about this for a bit!

You DON'T want a leash that attaches to the handlebars. If the dog decides to lunge one way or another you are going to go for a real tumble.

That's why they have the ones that attach to the rear wheel. It doesn't affect the steering of the bike as much and is less dangerous.

Pets At Home stores. Go on to their website www.petsathome.com to find your nearest store. Be quick though, because its only a summer line. And as for the idiots having a go at you fo wanting to use one, what would you all rather? Have the dog on a regular lead so it can get tangled up around the wheels? You fools, it goes without saying that you only use it on a dog that is perfectly trained not to react to other dogs, cats, etc. And all products sold for animals arent just designed, made, and shoved on the shelf. They go through rigorous safety tests before they are allowed on sale. Good luck finding one and have a great summer cycling with your dog x

Please don't do such a daft thing. Walk the dog like most other people. I hate seeing such things. Broken legs in dogs are such expensive things not just in money. What do you think when you see kids pulling each other along with bikes and skates etc? It is different yet the same, all too dangerous.

I'd try KVvet, or Dr.Foster and smith. I purchased mine from Dr.Foster and Smith last year, and I love it because I can take my lab, who gets a bit chubby over the winter, with me on bike rides to the bay and stuff. Just watch it going down main roads with it. They can be quite dangerous.

Some of your local pet stores may have them as well. They usually store them, or you can request them to purchase one from the 'Factory Stores' they buy bulk from.

Hi

What about a device called a springer, this is the website http://www.springer-uk.com. It attaches to the side of your bike so if your dog stops unexpectedly then you don't crash into it.

Sorry to be a killjoy, but that does not sound very safe to me.Better by far to let your dog enjoy its walk with you by being able to run and sniff and play.

if such a thing exists, i hope the manufacturer has a good public liability insurance
someone is going to get killed if you are dragged under a bus by your mutt!
Alternatively, how bad will you feel if you run your own dog over?
