Yes, this is God's punishment. Or it could be the dumb people that built a city on top of a fault line that caused this punishment.
Humans are the dumbest animal that ever lived.
Could the flood in New Orleans have been punishment from God? Or maybe stupid people that built a city below sea level?

I hate to say it, but it has happened. Any time there is a violent act of nature, some of them say that it is God's way of punishing us.
I am a Christian, and it humiliates me that they are so off base and make the rest of us look like idiots.
