Isn't the fact that I got a best answer for this proof that people really don't pay much attention?

I got a best answer for this question, It was asked by a Muslim and he took what I said literally. I don't know what you all think but I think my sarcasm is pretty clear and a little research would indicate that I am totally Atheist. So does this just prove that either some people really don't pay much attention to what others say or muslims cannot pick up on sarcasm?

And some ppl can't pick the best answer when it stares them right in the face, like when u (Question Everything) asked a question about what ever happened to the child from 'Problem Child,' and i looked it up and gave you the only detailed, informative, relevant answer and you picked some nonsense from some chick b/c she had a cute avatar or something. How about that?

I can clearly "hear," the sarcasm in your answer.

However, they don't care whether you're sarcastic as long as you PRAISE them and their knowledge. Which is what you did, you looked at the links. It's such a different culture that sarcasm doesn't exist, everyone praises and chants and does those things in an exaggerated way and when they're done, it's over and they go their merry way. No one looks at each other weird or says, "Hey Khaleel, that was a little too loud. It sounded like you were ranting and raving to Allah for his goodness, you kind of went too far..."

I think you momentarily joined into their psyche.

The way I read it, you were awarded best answer by default based on the fact that you were apparently the only one who read the verses. Perhaps it is you who isn't paying attention. I don't think he took you seriously.

and uh, your username... one would NEVER suspect sarcasm based on that. but that may be a cultural thing, i don't know. more likely it's to do with the hope and the expectation that they have that people will find their arguments convincing.
