You need to use a condom. No choices about it. You must use a condom, every time, to prevent pregnancy and disease.

(And, yes, there are other forms of birth control, but they do not prevent disease. They are for people in committed, monogamous relationships like marriage.)

you don't sound really ready for all the ramifications of sex but i know that won't stop you. Honestly, not doing it at all is the only way you KNOW she won't get pregnant. Birth control pills or other hormonal methods work well but they fail all the time. My ex-sister-in-law has 3 birth control babies, one from the pill, one from an iud and a 3rd from depo shot and condoms so nothing is failsafe. if you are for some reason dumb enough to try without any of those methods you can try the pull out method, but you have to have the control and knowledge about yourself to do that, and even the best get it wrong. Please just don't do it at all!!

If you're both under 18 - how about NOT doing it?? Neither of you are ready for a baby and I seriously doubt you guys love each other enough to possibly sacrifice your lives for each other. And yes, that is the truth. Some STD's are not curable - do you really want to spend the rest of your life having to tell every single partner that you have something or other?? Condoms don't protect against all STD's.

Think about it.

Condoms protect against pregnancy and STDs. Stick with a condom.

If one or both of you have had sex with other, you're at risk of contracting an STD. Some STDs lie dormant without symptoms for years before you're aware you have it therefore passing it on to others without even knowing it.

Be aware of the risks... ALL the risks before deciding which type of birth control to use.

The only way you can 100% guarantee her not getting pregnant is to not have sex. I'm thinking you all are teenagers, so please talk to other teen parents on here. I'm sure they thought their methods of birth control would work.

Condoms break, and all other birth control have a failure rate, even when you use a condom and other form of birth control together, there's still a failure rate.

She'd have to take a hormonal birth control- the pill, shot, IUD, etc. But only a condom can protect against the spread of STDs.

If you cannot spell the words want to you should not be having sex yet. SERIOUSLY!!

Condoms are the safest way when used properly, but even then you could still get pregnant.

Use one, we don't need anymore undereducated people having babies and relying on government support to raise them.

There are all kinds of birth control methods, but the only way to be safe from pregnancy and STDs (HIV/Aids, herpes, syphillus, HPV, gonnorhea) is to use a condom.
(And for heaven's sake, "Withdrawal" is NOT a birthcontrol method and will not keep you safe from pregnancy!)

Unless you are both ready to be parents it is better to not have sex. If you still want to have sex USE A CONDOM.
