Because committing one criminal action does not balance against another criminal action. Assault is assault.
Also, in the US, the 8th Amendment prohibits such conduct. So if the police allowed that, they would be just as guilty of being criminals as the person being sent to jail.

Where in statute or Statutory instrument give you this right.
The sentence of the Court is loss of freedom not a beating up by any criminal who feels he has the moral high ground in the whole of his/her pathetic little useless life

because we don't live in Saudi Arabia, the law applies to the victims as well as the criminals.
Whilst i'd love to see a rapist have his head kicked in, i'd hate to see the victim who is doing it get sent to prison. Best let the police deal with it, maybe he'll fall down the stairs.

I'm pretty sure that, dispite what people say, prison is a place that you don't want to make a habit out of staying in! I've seen some nasty stuff go on, on the inside!!

Because two wrongs don't make a right. However, paedophiles. rapists etc. have a tough time in prison anyway, especially if the PO isn't looking. Often they have to be specially segregated.

sometimes people who rape others do get their A_s kicked. Like pedophiles get it all the time as soon as they get to the prison everyone knows why they're there news travels fast inside those walls

This can not be sanctioned. Are you advocating violent brutality as a policy? There is not legal basis for this in the US. What would it solve?

Yes they should! If you commit certain crimes such as rape/murder/serious assault then you should be treated accordingly! Maybe if they were people would have more fear of the punishment and not do the crime.

Well that would make us as bad as them, I think they should go back to the days when they had to work & not get payed for it, NO telly ,films, cigs, sex, booze , curtains at the windows, playstations,etc, THAT is being punished.
