Stop giving him benefits! If he can be a friend with benefits, why would he want to date you? All he'd be getting would be emotional baggage. Stop the benefits, and make him decide: a relationship with you or regular friends?

if it was me i would want you to tell me how you feel and i would tell you how i feel. Although be careful it may wreck the relationship you have with him. But if you cant bare to be just friends then you better say how you feel, or ask him questions on how he feels.
