I love hot stuff too - bring it on! The hotter the better. But I don't have hot food the same way as you - "eat jalapinos out of the jar". I like them in food and to give nce falvour - Thai and Indian food is great!
"stomach ulcer"? NO!!! Eating hot food DOES NOT cause stomach ulcers. This has been scientifically proven. In fact... it might actually be good for the stomach - as chillies will encourage the stomach to produce more mucus to protect itself.
Ulcers has been proven to be caused by micobes. This was discovered by two nobel prize winners a few years ago.

My husband loves food extremely hot. Even Jalapenos aren't hot enough for him. He has been eating this hot stuff for years without any stomach problems. However, I know that if you have a pre-existing condition such as ulcers, any doctor will tell you to lay off the hot peppers because they can irritate the stomach lining. Aside from that, hot peppers are considered to be beneficial to you due to the capsaisin (sp)within. Capsaisin is good for arthritis and helps strengthen your immune system. They are really good for the metabolism as well. So if you don't already have an ulcer or some other stomach ailment, I say enjoy your peppers. The benefits out weigh the detriments.

I love super hot food. I grew red habaneros once, I put habanero sauce on everything. I've passed a hot wing challenge called "the 911 challenge" on my first try without drinking milk or anything before or afterwards...and that was my first visit to the place to see if this mythical challenge even existed. I did get the worst cramps two hours later though. I love it cause you get "stoned" from it. I would like to have some blair's 3am or the pure capsaicin crystals, but its very expensive and I prolly just keep it unopened cuz its a collectors item. Finally, I've bought pepper spray and used it on food...it is really weak, on the same level as jalapenos.

I absolutely love hot food!
Stomach ulcers, we now know, are caused by bacteria, not by the food that we eat.
The heat in peppers and hot sauce comes from capsaicin which has many health benefits, but moderation and variety in everything is the key to good nutrition and in life in general.

Weeeeelllllll, you can have them all! And remind me to stay away from your farts. No you will not get an ulcer.....that only happens to someone of my stature that never eats spicy hot food ever. If I was meant to eat fire, God would have lined my mouth and throat with asbestos

I have always heard that spicy foods hurt you. But if you actually look at research (see the souce below), at least one research appears to see indication that removing such foods from your diet doesn't reduce the stomach problems.
I'm not a doctor - you should contact your own doctor, and get a professional opinion.

technological know-how weight-alleviation plan and Iams are no longer solid ingredients. opposite to usually happening beleif, they are packed with via-products and fillers. And if the 1st factor is meat, it is going to be accompanied via a meat meal, or there is going each and all the nutrients the beef could supply. If value is a controversy, attempt hen Soup for the canines Lover's Soul. (i understand, cliche') that's Holistic, and freed from ALL fillers, chemical compounds, and hormones, and that's low-value. the suitable reccomendation i'm going to provide ould be one among organic Balances hypersensitivity fomrmulas however, you in straightforward terms could wait 7-10 for consequences.

I too enjoy eating hot food, though it depends on the level of hotness. When it comes to Mexican and Latin foods, I'm all over it...bring on the hot salsa and chiles papi! :-)
I also like to smother my food (when applicable) in Frank's RedHot. Yum!
The peppers used in Asian foods - like in General Tsao...whew! That is a different bite and I don't really care for that.
