I just broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years, I moved in with my dad, the guy hit me twice and when I broke up with him he was really mad. We have the same friends, should I just stay away from my friends for a while and keep to myself?

If you think your friends will react to the breakup by blaming you and being mean to you, then yes, stay away from them. If you think they will be supportive, then no. It really depends on how you think they will react.
I def think you did the right thing by dumping the loser. Good for you!

If they ask, I would tell them. If you feel like you are really good friends, tell them. I agree with Shiv. I think that if you tell them and they are your real good friends, they will support you and help protect you in a way by not trying to get you back together on surprise meetings.
I would probably press charges for him hitting me. That is up to you though. No one should EVER hit a woman, or anyone just because they are mad. I am glad you are not with him. You must have seen some of this anger before. Good for you for leaving him. Hugs to you and I will pray for you.

if your friends are aware of what happened they should rally round to look after you. I wouldn't stay away from them but maybe go some new places with them where you're less likely to see your ex.
Keep your social life active - thats the key to no feeling down about this :)

Tell your friends what happened on the phone, if they take his side then you know not to hang round with them for a while
Look up some old friends instead to cheer you up!

I would keep to myself for a while ... and let your friends come and see you. You don't want to risk running into him if he's hit you twice already. Best of luck!!!

Your real friends are going to want to support you. Anyone that offers you support and understanding you should stick with otherwise they weren't your friends to begin with.
